FC Barcelona took to the Camp Nou pitch with their sights set on reaching the Champions League final. The first chance of the match fell to Salma, who nearly connected with a Graham cross at the back post. Ewa Pajor also went close, but her effort drifted wide. The third time was not the charm either, as Salma failed to hit the target with an instep strike. However, the pressure finally told in the twelfth minute when Graham whipped a cross into the box, which Salma latched onto at the back post to break the deadlock and put the Culés ahead. Bayern responded with a Georgia Stanway header that flew over, but it was Dallmann who, just five minutes later, finished off a textbook counter-attack to restore parity. Alexia attempted to respond, but her shot sailed high. The two-time Ballon d'Or winner might forgive once, but not twice, and she struck the second goal at the second time of asking.

The Mollet del Vallès native fired the ball into the back of the net after capitalising on a series of rebounds inside the area—a goal celebrated with a bow towards the home crowd. Graham continued to push for more, but her shot went wide. Brugts also had a chance with a strike that Mahmutovic saved with a providential stop. Past the half-hour mark, Mapi León tried her luck from distance, while Graham went close with a header that went over. Bayern pushed for an equaliser, but Pere Romeu's side headed into the break with the lead. After the restart, the German side sought to level the tie, but the Blaugrana defence remained firm. Meanwhile, Graham continued to be a constant threat in attack. Ewa Pajor, however, is never one to miss; in the 54th minute, Salma delivered a cross into the box that the Polish striker fired into the back of the net.

Following the goal, Pere Romeu brought on Claudia Pina for Graham Hansen, and the fourth goal was the work of Alexia Putellas. Brugts flicked on a free-kick, and the ball fell to Alexia, who sent it into the back of the net with a bicycle kick to complete her brace, prompting the entire Camp Nou to perform a Mexican wave in celebration. Alexia even had the chance to complete her hat-trick, but Mahmutovic managed to deny her with a vital save. With twenty-two minutes remaining, Aitana Bonmatí returned to the pitch after overcoming her injury. Bayern had not said their final word, and Harder reduced the deficit to 4-2. Cata Coll and the crossbar combined to deny Caruso, and the goalkeeper also prevented a goal from Gilles. The woodwork again came to the rescue for the hosts, and the referee ruled out a second goal for Harder. The Culés will face Olympique Lyonnais in the Champions League final on Saturday, 23 May.
