A clash between two sides that have undergone a squad rebuild during the transfer window. Sánchez Vera's team started the brighter, and just twelve minutes in, young goalkeeper Alba Ibáñez failed to claim a corner delivery. The loose ball dropped kindly inside the area for Sakina Ouzraoui—named MVP of the match—to fire it straight into the back of the net. Granada CF tried to respond by utilising the pace of Welma Fon upfront, but barely nine minutes later, Ana González whipped a free-kick into the heart of the box, and Kate Taylor glanced a magnificent header home to double the Madrid side's lead. After the interval, both managers turned to their benches. Débora Bebê and María Aymerich came on for the hosts, whilst Blanca Muñoz replaced Raquel Gil for Granada CF. Right at the start of the second half, Vera Molina capitalised on a mistake in the Madrid defence playing out from the back, but the midfielder was denied by a brilliant piece of goalkeeping from Belén de Gracia, who rushed off her line decisively to narrow the angle and prevent a goal. Adrián Martín's side kept pushing but struggled to create clear-cut danger. With fifteen minutes left on the clock, an error from Jenni López in possession led to Romane Lejeune winning the ball back. The French central defender played a long ball forward to substitute Ailing Herrera, who beat her marker with a superb turn and slotted home the third goal of the match. 

A heavy blow to the visitors' aspirations, making it an even taller order to salvage a positive result from their trip to the Fernando Torres. Madrid CFF could even have added a fourth, but Alba Ibáñez pulled off a great diving save to tip away a long-range effort from Débora Bebê from the edge of the box. The match ultimately finished 3-1 thanks to a goal from Elene Guridi, who pulled one back in the closing stages of the encounter. The midfielder, on loan from Real Sociedad, made no mistake from close range after getting on the end of a neat cut-back from Daniela Miñambres, who capped off a brilliant solo run to tee up her teammate. The final whistle confirmed victory for Sánchez Vera's side, who kick off the campaign with a win. Meanwhile, the Andalusian outfit will have to wait a little longer to get their first victory of the season on the board.
