The Estadio de Riazor opened Sunday's fixtures on Matchday 8. With 16-year-old Ana Seoane making her LigaF debut for the Galician side, the hosts sought to take control from the opening minutes. Millene Cabral had the first chance of the match with a shot that flashed just past the post. The Brazilian tried her luck again with a header that went wide. Merle Barth also tested her fortunes with a header that drifted off target, though the move was ultimately flagged for offside. The response came from a cross by Ainhoa Guallar met by Laia Parera, but the home goalkeeper produced a brilliant save with her feet to deny a goal. Carmen Sobrón came close to catching the goalkeeper out with a lob that sailed too high.
There was nothing to separate the two sides on the pitch, and Merche Izal tried her luck with a long-range shot straight into the hands of the Deportivo goalkeeper. The deadlock was broken in the 25th minute. Carmen Sobrón produced a piece of brilliance with a direct free-kick to catch out Ana Seoane, who managed to get a hand to the ball but could not prevent it from flying straight into the back of the net. Eva Alonso searched for the equaliser with a header that went wide. Merche Izal looked for a second from another direct free-kick, but the home goalkeeper gathered the ball cleanly. Before the break, Ainoa Gómez tried her luck with a long-range effort that the Vitoria defence blocked behind for a corner. Merle Barth, with a header, and Eva Alonso, with a long-range strike, both had chances before half-time, but lacked a clinical edge.

After the restart, Alberto Rodríguez made a double change, bringing on Elena Vázquez and Marisa García, whilst Kumba Brima entered the fray for the visitors. Millene had the first chance of the half with a wayward shot. Ainhoa Guallar could have doubled the lead, but the home goalkeeper recovered brilliantly to prevent a goal. The match was wide open, with an imperious Pichi standing out as the MVP of the clash. Ainoa Gómez tried her luck with a shot off target. Sofía Domínguez came on for Deportivo Abanca, and Almudena Rivero for the *babazorro* side. Elene Viles threatened for the visitors, while Laia Parera cut out a dangerous attacking move by Millene Cabral. Sofía Domínguez also came close to scoring with a direct free-kick.
The Argentine had a chance from the edge of the area, but Sofía Fuente gathered the ball to prevent a goal. The Deportivo side piled on the pressure, pinning their opponents back. Olaya had an opportunity with a shot that flew over the bar. In the 83rd minute, the referee sent off Laia Parera for a heavy challenge on Millene Cabral. The Galician side's persistence paid off as they levelled the score, with Millene Cabral firing home from inside the box to make it 1-1. Sofía Fuente comfortably claimed a shot from distance by Redru. And just when the match seemed to be over, Lucía Pardo completed the comeback with a stunning goal from inside the area to send Riazor wild. Celia Ochoa had the final chance, but the home goalkeeper smothered the ball right on the line.
