For a place in the UEFA Women's Nations League semi-finals. Real Madrid CF and FC Barcelona will face each other on Wednesday, March 25th at 18:45h, vying to qualify for the next round in the first of three clashes between the two sides scheduled for next week. The White side comes into the fixture in their best form of the season. Pau Quesada's team, currently in 2nd position in Liga F Moeve with 56 points, boasts seven consecutive victories, the last five of which have been without conceding a single goal. The *merengue* side secured a 2-3 win and a 2-0 victory over Paris FC to reach the Champions League quarter-finals. Tere Abelleira, who suffered an ACL injury, is a confirmed absentee, while Maëlle Lakrar and Signe Bruun are doubts for the match against the Catalan club.

Furthermore, the White side will be looking to break their 'glass ceiling', as they have never progressed beyond the quarter-finals. Facing them will be an FC Barcelona side that has only lost one match in Liga F Moeve, and which finished 1st in their Champions League group stage, granting them direct access to the quarter-finals. The *azulgranas* have secured three straight wins, and are unbeaten in twenty-four consecutive matches (twenty-two victories and only two draws). Pere Romeu will be without the injured Mapi León, Laia Aleixandri (who tore her ACL), and Aitana Bonmatí, with Kika Nazareth listed as a doubt. The Portuguese player finished the last match with discomfort. The *azulgranas* have reached six of the last seven Champions League finals, winning three of them (2021, 2023, and 2024).

The Second Quarter-Final Tie Between Both Sides

This will be the second time in history that Real Madrid CF and FC Barcelona meet in the quarter-finals of Europe's premier competition. The first time the two clubs faced each other in the Champions League was during the 2021/2022 season, in the Madrid side's debut European campaign. The *culé* side won 1-3 away at the Di Stéfano, and 5-2 in front of the 91,553 spectators who attended the clash at Camp Nou. The Madrid and Catalan sides have already met three times this season, all resulting in victories for the *blaugranas*, who won 4-0 in the first-leg Liga F Moeve fixture, 2-0 in the Supercopa de España final, and 0-4 in the Copa de la Reina quarter-finals.
