The Estadio de Riazor played host to the match that kicked off Matchday 3 of Liga F Moeve. Real Madrid CF started the stronger of the two sides, threatening through Eva Navarro, albeit without success. Five minutes in, Millene pulled back Beerensteyn inside the box. The referee had no hesitation in pointing to the spot. Linda Caicedo stepped up to take the penalty, but Andrea Tarazona produced a marvellous save to keep it out. The hosts responded with a speculative effort from Millene that was gathered by Frohms. The goalkeeper also comfortably dealt with a shot from Lucía Pardo. It was an evenly contested affair. Tarazona denied Beerensteyn, while Paula Hernández tried her luck with a long-range strike. The opening goal of the match arrived on the half-hour mark. Linda Caicedo drove into the area and unleashed an unstoppable shot into the back of the net to break the deadlock.

The goal settled any nerves for the visitors. Elisa Senss, who claimed the MVP award while pulling the strings in midfield, helped her side find a second shortly after through Bella Andersson. The centre-back was left unmarked to head home an inswinging corner from Andreia Jacinto, doubling their advantage. Just before the break, further trouble struck the Galician side. Andrea Tarazona thwarted an attack from Beerensteyn, but suffered a heavy blow to the back in the process. The goalkeeper was forced off and replaced by Inês Pereira. With the score at 0-2, the teams went into the break. The second half followed a similar pattern to the first, with Real Madrid CF dominating possession, though Inês Pereira remained alert to cut out a dangerous visiting attack. Deportivo Abanca rallied through a lively Esperanza Pizarro, though they failed to trouble the opposition goal.

Approaching the hour mark, Frohms safely gathered a good strike from Lucía Pardo. A lively Esperanza Pizarro continued to look dangerous. For Real Madrid CF, Angeldahl entered the fray, while Sofía Domínguez and Lucía Rivas came on for the home side as they searched for a way back into the match. Redru had a golden opportunity to pull one back with a header, but Frohms produced a great save to deny her. Redru tried her luck again from distance, and the visiting goalkeeper once again thwarted Esperanza Pizarro, who was already ready to celebrate. At the other end, the post came to the rescue to deny Beerensteyn. Olaya also tried her luck with a wayward effort, followed by Michi Apóstol, but neither player could find the target. The visitors' final chance fell to Beerensteyn, but Inês Pereira kept it out, while Paula Novo's shot flew over the bar.
