The all-rojiblanco clash opens Matchday 9 of the league campaign. "It will be a match that demands the absolute maximum from us both in and out of possession," declared Adrián Martín in his pre-match press conference. The hosts go into the game in 9th place in Liga F Moeve with 10 points, from three wins, one draw and four defeats. Miku Kojima returns to the squad after serving a suspension, whilst Leles Carrión and Vera Molina are doubts, and Maya Evans and Welma Fon are confirmed absentees. Standing in their way is a Madrid side sitting 3rd in the standings with 15 points, following three consecutive victories, the most recent a 4-0 win against Valencia CF. The visitors welcome back Lola Gallardo after suspension, while Allegra Poljak, Silvia Lloris, and Tere Abelleira—the latter two continuing their recoveries from ACL injuries—are the three absentees for Atlético de Madrid as they look to keep their winning run going.

At the same time, Valencia CF will go in search of their first points of the campaign, remaining the only side yet to get off the mark in the league. Fernando Felipo continues in interim charge of the Valencia dugout following a 4-0 defeat to Atlético de Madrid last time out. Camila Saez, returning from suspension, is set to be the main boost to the backline of the *conjunto che*. Meanwhile, Jana Xin, Débora García, Andrea Recio and Danielle Marcano will not be available for the fixture. "We head there with the confidence that we believe we are doing things right," stated Iñaki Goikoetxea in his press conference. The *armero* coach has no fresh injuries to contend with for the trip to Valencia. Eibar sit in a commendable 6th place in Liga F Moeve with 12 points, after picking up three wins, three draws and just two defeats at the start of the season.

Later in the afternoon, there is a clash between two teams locked on 9 points in the lower-mid table. RCD Espanyol head into the fixture after picking up a point against Real Sociedad (1-1) in their last match. Sara Monforte's side have lost just one of their last six matches. The coach from Castellón will be without Romane Salvador, Carla Morera, Cristina Baudet, Naima García, Anna Torrodà, and Laura Martínez, with the latter two sidelined with ACL injuries. On the other side, Logroño United won 1-0 against FC Badalona Women in their previous outing—a victory that halted a poor run of four consecutive defeats. "Espanyol are a really tough, resilient side, they pull together for every ball and it's going to be a difficult match," said Santiago García ahead of the game. Annelie Leitner, Milagros Martín, Flavine Mawete and Mia Asenjo, who is recovering from an ACL injury, make up their four absentees.
