Sevilla storms the Heliodoro
The Andalusian side secured a 1-3 victory away against Costa Adeje Tenerife at the Heliodoro. Fatou Kanteh, who was named MVP of the match, Raquel Morcillo and Esther Martín-Pozuelo scored the goals for the visitors, while Natalia Padilla netted for the hosts. The Heliodoro Rodríguez López stadium kicked off Sunday's matches in Liga F Moeve. Both teams came out with the firm intention of securing all three points. Gemma Gili had the first chance with an acrobatic shot that didn't find the opponent's target. In that move, the referee awarded a handball against Bárbara Martínez inside the box. Fatou Kanteh stepped up to take the penalty, but Noelia Ramos guessed the Gambian international's shot to deny the goal. At the other end, Paulina Gramaglia came close to scoring with a high header. Half an hour into the match, the referee awarded another penalty for a foul by Raquel Morcillo on Bárbara Martínez inside the box. Natalia Padilla took responsibility from the spot, but Sullastres made a great save to deny the goal. However, the joy for Sevilla FC was short-lived, and in the very next play, the home side broke the deadlock.

Despite conceding, the visitors didn't give up, and Fatou Kanteh, who was the MVP of the match, took just ten minutes to capitalise on a defensive error by Cinta Rodríguez and beat Noelia Ramos coming off her line. Sevilla FC levelled the score. Before half-time, Aithiara Carballo tried her luck with a long-range strike, but it was Raquel Morcillo who unleashed a right-footed shot straight into the back of the net to put her team ahead just before the end of the first half. After the break, Yerai Martín brought on Alba Pérez for Cinta Rodríguez. The home side pushed forward from set-pieces, but Sullastres remained imperious between the sticks, catching a powerful delivery into the heart of the box. The Tenerife side controlled the match but couldn't find a way to score the equaliser.
Meanwhile, Sevilla FC remained very comfortable on the pitch, soaking up their opponent's attacks and waiting to hit on the counter-attack. Minutes ticked by at the Heliodoro, though without clear scoring chances, and Yerai Martín brought on Carlota Suárez and Iratxe Pérez as last resorts in attack. With twelve minutes remaining, and the home side pushing forward, Sandra Castelló threaded a superb pass behind the local defence, where Esther Martín-Pozuelo collected the ball and beat Noelia Ramos with a great finish that found the back of the net to make it 1-3 on the scoreboard. Costa Adeje Tenerife tried to recover from the goal conceded with a shot from Annahita Zamanian that went over. Yerai Martín's side also appealed for a possible penalty, which the referee did not award. With the final whistle, the victory for the Sevillian side was confirmed, as they returned to winning ways.
