Atlético de Madrid went out at Alcalá with the aim of securing all three points at their stadium, although the first chance of the match fell to Cristina Redondo, who was returning home, but the forward's shot was comfortably saved by Lola Gallardo. Henrietta Csiszár responded with a shot that went over the bar. The first goal of the match arrived after twenty minutes of play. Fiamma Benítez, who was the MVP of the match, conjured a through ball amidst the Riojan defence, which Allegra Poljak capitalised on to finish past Miralles with a superb strike. The Serbian footballer scored her second goal of the season to break the deadlock. The visiting goalkeeper managed to parry a poor clearance from the opposition defence, sending the ball out for a corner. Before half-time, Logroño United could have found an equaliser, but Isina's shot was gathered by the Atlético goalkeeper.
The second half followed the same script as the first, with Atlético de Madrid controlling possession and creating the clearest chances. Luany drove into the box but ran into the visiting defence. The *Rojiblancas* appealed for a penalty, but the referee did not award it. Around the hour mark, Jenni Hermoso entered the field for her re-debut as an Atlético de Madrid player. Meanwhile, Gio Garbelini also got minutes after serving her suspension. Lucía Rodríguez came close to scoring with a shot that went over the bar. Logroño United also made changes, bringing on Valentina Donolato, María Barquero, and Mia Asenjo to try and find an equaliser. Lucía Rodríguez tried again with a shot that Miralles gathered without much trouble, securing the ball and averting the opponent's dangerous play.

Atlético de Madrid continued their pursuit, looking to definitively seal the match. Synne Jensen, the *Rojiblanca* top scorer, tried her luck with a header that went directly over the bar. Indeed, the Norwegian forward tried again with a shot from the edge of the box that María Miralles, with the help of the post and a superb save, sent out for a corner. The goalkeeper, who made seven saves throughout the match, kept her team in the game. The Castellón-born goalkeeper once again stood tall between the posts to keep out a shot from Gio Garbelini, which was already heading for the back of the net. The last chance also fell to the *Colchoneras*. Once more, Gio Garbelini tried her luck from inside the box with a tame shot, but Miralles made herself big to deny the goal. The visitors pushed for an equaliser, but the score remained unchanged in Alcalá.
