DUX Logroño is reinventing itself to face the 2026/2027 Liga F Moeve season. The 'vinotinto' side, which is rebranding as Logroño United, has unveiled its new institutional and sporting identity. A new era based on unity, a sense of belonging, and a connection with the city. The announcement was made at the Casa de los Periodistas in Logroño during an event attended by Sporting Director Marcelo Raya, Brand Architect Marcos Moreno, and team captain Isina Cortés. Furthermore, the club's president, Javier Ruffini, participated via video, explaining the project's ongoing evolution.
For his part, Sporting Director Marcelo Raya highlighted the club's newfound maturity, having secured survival last season in Liga F Moeve, and now aiming to establish themselves in the elite. Captain Isina Cortés echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the ownership's strong commitment to the team's growth, including improvements to facilities, development of the sporting structure, squad building, and player welfare. With this new name, Logroño becomes central to the club's identity, while the word 'United' signifies the union between ownership, players, and fans.
The club's new crest
The crest connects Logroño's history with the present of the Riojan team, its design inspired by the city's history and symbols. Marcos Moreno, the brand architect, explained that the creative process began with the Siege of Logroño in 1521, an episode where the city collectively decided to resist a far superior army. This new identity reflects the resilience, unity, and perseverance demonstrated by the people of Rioja at the time, now represented in the crest.
The central element of the crest is the Cross of Saint Andrew, present on Logroño's historical flag during the 16th century. Alongside it appears the fourth bridge of Logroño, a symbol of the La Isla area and the Riojan club's training ground, representing the union between the city's history and the club's future. This new design is completed with the colours red, burgundy, and gold, as well as a new institutional motto: 'History drives us', which will accompany the team throughout the current season.
