Liga F Moeve clubs will return to competition on Tuesday, May 26th and Wednesday, May 27th to play Matchday 29. Meanwhile, the final matchday of the season will be played on Sunday, May 31st. The fight for the runner-up spot and the battle to finish in the TOP-8 will be the two main attractions of this final stretch of the competition.

21 MAY 2026

Following the conclusion of the Copa de la Reina and the Champions League final, the clubs of Liga F Moeve will return to league action to contest the final two matchdays of the season. Matchday 29 will be a midweek round, taking place on Tuesday, 26 May at 19:00 and 21:00, and Wednesday, 27 May, also at 19:00 and 21:00. Meanwhile, Matchday 30 will be played on Sunday, 31 May, with all matches kicking off simultaneously: four matches at 12:00 (Costa Adeje Tenerife vs Deportivo Abanca will be at 13:00 peninsular time) and four matches at 16:00. The two major incentives in this final stretch are the battle for the runners-up spot between Real Madrid CF and Real Sociedad, and the fight to finish in the top eight, with four teams involved: Sevilla FC, Athletic Club, Madrid CFF, and FC Badalona Women, all looking to earn a bye in the opening round of next season's Copa de la Reina.

The battle for the runners-up spot

Real Madrid CF and Real Sociedad will fight it out over these final two matchdays to secure second place in Liga F Moeve. The Madrid side currently sits in 2nd position with 66 points, three ahead of their rivals. Furthermore, Pau Quesada's side holds the head-to-head advantage after winning 1-0 in the first leg and 0-3 in the return fixture against the txuri-urdin. Away to FC Badalona Women and home to Granada CF at the Di Stéfano will be the final two matches for the Madridistas this term. For their part, the Basque side has already qualified for next season's Champions League, but Arturo Ruiz's team wants more and will attempt to snatch third place in these final two rounds. To do so, however, the Donostiarras must beat FC Barcelona at the Johan Cruyff and Atlético de Madrid at Zubieta, while hoping for a slip-up from the Madrid side.

Four teams chasing a top-eight finish

Sevilla FC (7th with 39 points), Athletic Club (8th with 38 points), Madrid CFF (9th with 34 points), and FC Badalona Women (10th with 33 points) are the four teams that will be looking to finish among the top eight. This achievement grants the reward of skipping a round in next season's Copa de la Reina. The side from Seville will face SD Eibar at home and RCD Espanyol away as they try to maintain their position in the top eight. Meanwhile, the Basque team will also look to secure that seventh or eighth spot by visiting DUX Logroño and hosting Alhama CF ElPozo. The Madrid side currently sits in ninth and will face Granada CF away and FC Barcelona at home to try and break into those top eight positions. The Catalan side will also pursue the same goal, hosting Real Madrid CF and visiting Levante UD.
