Granada prevails in a back-and-forth battle
Granada CF secured a 3-2 victory over Real Sociedad in the fixture that concluded Matchday 2 of Liga F Moeve. The home goals came from Leles Carrión, who converted a penalty, Raquel Gil, who was named MVP of the match, and Iris Ashley. For the Basque side, Carlota Chacón and Jenni López (with an own goal) found the net.

Both teams closed out the second matchday of LigaF Moeve looking to secure their first win. The home side started better, aiming to create danger from set-pieces, but Julia Arrula saved a powerful shot from Elene Guridi. At the other end, Carlota Chacón came close to scoring, but Yohana Gómez saved the goal with a superb stop. Fifteen minutes into the match, the referee awarded a penalty against Julia Arrula for a foul on Elene Guridi. Leles Carrión stepped up to take the spot-kick, placing the ball tight to the post to score the opener and break the deadlock. Real Sociedad only took two minutes to react, with Paula Fernández delivering a ball into the box that Carlota Chacón headed into the back of the net on her debut for the San Sebastian side's first team. The match was finely balanced on the pitch, with both teams trying to find more goals.
Granada CF were rewarded. Half an hour into the match, Raquel Gil unleashed a long-range right-footed shot that hit the post before flying directly into the back of the net. Before half-time, Ainhoa Marín looked for the equaliser, but it was Jenni López, with an own goal, who touched a cross from the corner to level the score. With the score level, the match went into half-time. The Nazari side only took one minute to regain the lead right after the start of the second half. Raquel Gil, who was the MVP of the match, delivered a cross to the far post that Iris Ashley headed in to score her first goal as a new player for the Andalusian team. Julia Arrula could do nothing to save the striker's goal. Elene Guridi had a clear chance to extend her team's lead, but the San Sebastian goalkeeper saved the goal with a crucial stop to deny the dangerous effort.
Around the half-hour mark, Cecilia Marcos came on to add more attacking flair, while Ana Martos replaced Welma Fon, who left injured. Nerea Eizagirre also came on for the Basque side, who pushed forward in search of a goal, but without luck. As did Ana Martos, who tried her luck with a high shot. Indeed, the academy product had another chance, but again failed to find the opposition's goal. At the other end, Yohana Gómez gathered a venomous shot from Ainhoa Marín, who was already looking for a goal for the San Sebastian side. In the final minutes, Yohana Gómez once again had to save a shot from Ava Seelenfreund from inside the box. Teresa Mérida also proved imperious at the back, thwarting the opponent's attacking moves. Paula Fernández tried her luck with a high shot. The last chance fell to Ainoa Campo, but the midfielder couldn't find the equaliser, and the visitors left empty-handed.
