The final chance of the first half fell to Deportivo Alavés. A ball into the box was eventually headed home by Andrea Gómez, but the referee ruled the effort out for offside against the visiting player. Heading into the second half, both managers made changes. Sarah Brasero came into the midfield for Las Gloriosas, while Allegra Poljak and Amaiur Sarriegi entered the fray for the Madrid team. The first big chance of the second half fell to Jensen, but once again, a saved-goal hand from Sofía Fuente denied the forward, who held her head in hands lamenting the missed opportunity. Atlético de Madrid could also have taken the lead with a shot from the corner of the area, but the ball struck the crossbar. Sofía Fuente continued her goalkeeping masterclass to keep her team in the game. 

The visiting side held onto the draw thanks to the heroics of their goalkeeper, who put in a colossal performance. One of the clearest chances came from an Allegra Poljak shot that the visiting shot-stopper tipped away. The rebound fell to Amaiur, but the forward's effort was brilliantly cleared off the line by Laia Parera to preserve the clean sheet. Maite Zubieta also created a major threat with a long-range effort that went straight into the gloves of a confident Sofía Fuente, who safely gathered the ball. Claudia Barrios made her debut for Atlético de Madrid. It looked as though the match would end level, until, with the very last play of the game, a cross from Luany—who was named MVP of the clash—was backheeled into the net by Jensen. The ball caught the defence and the goalkeeper by surprise, neither of whom could do anything to keep the goal out.
