Matchday 8 of Liga F Moeve gets underway at the Wanda Alcalá de Henares Sporting Complex in a clash between two sides experiencing contrasting fortunes in the standings. Atlético de Madrid sit fifth on 12 points, courtesy of four wins and three defeats. David González’s side head into the fixture on the back of two consecutive victories as they look to close the gap on the European places. Lola Gallardo will be unavailable after being sent off in their last outing. The Seville-born goalkeeper joins Allegra Poljak and Silvia Lloris on the sidelines, with the latter recovering from an ACL injury. Furthermore, the Rojiblancas boast a flawless home record this term, winning all three of their matches on home turf while scoring six goals and keeping three clean sheets.

Meanwhile, Valencia CF will be looking to pull off an upset. The visitors find themselves bottom of the Liga F Moeve table with 0 points, making them the only club yet to get off the mark in the league campaign. Their recent 1-0 defeat to Athletic Club prompted the dismissal of Mikel Crespo, with Fernando Felipo and Víctor García now stepping into the dugout. Camila Sáez was also sent off in that fixture and will miss the trip to face the colchoneros. Valencia were additionally without Jana Xin, Débora García, Esther Gómez, Amanda Mbadi, and Andrea Recio in their last match. Danielle Marcano is their only player to find the back of the net from open play with two goals—their other two strikes having been own goals—while Rebecca Elloh leads the top flight for successful dribbles with 38.

Previous Head-to-Head Encounters

Since the 2013/2014 season, Atlético de Madrid and Valencia CF have faced each other 25 times, resulting in 17 wins for the Madrid side, 7 draws, and just a single victory for the *Che* outfit. That lone win came on 24 April 2016, when the Blanquinegras triumphed 0-3 away from home. The sides last met during the 2024/2025 campaign, which was Valencia's final season in the top tier. The Rojiblanca side claimed victory in both encounters, winning 0-4 away in the first meeting before sealing a 3-0 win in the return fixture. A year and a half later, the two teams lock horns once again; though they arrive in contrasting positions in the table, both share the exact same ambition to claim all three points.
