Hudl, the new video analysis tool for Liga F clubs

Representatives from the LigaF clubs gathered at the organisation's headquarters in Madrid to attend a training Workshop on the Hudl tool, a new platform that enhances performance and allows club analysts and coaching staff to conduct a more exhaustive, precise, and quicker analysis of the competition's matches after every Matchday.

Every season, LigaF fosters the growth of club structures and departments, equipping them with tools that improve workflow. LigaF has implemented the Hudl platform this season. It is a video analysis tool that allows technical staff analysts from the teams to have better resources when carrying out their daily work. “It is an enriching event to share experiences and workflows with colleagues. These kinds of things always add value because they make us grow as professionals,” highlighted Rubén Santiago Osuna, analyst for Sevilla FC. Precisely, the team from Seville is having a magnificent season. “We are very happy about the incorporation of this tool because it adds value. It makes us work faster, and thanks to it, we have more information,” he added.

The Athletic Club was also represented by Iñaki Martín Abraldes, analyst for the Bilbao side for seven seasons, who spoke positively about being able to meet with the rest of his colleagues. “It’s an interesting context because in day-to-day life when you play against them, we don't have time to talk about how we work. It’s interesting to see what problem one person has, how you help them, and vice versa,” he highlighted. Furthermore, Iñaki also underlined the importance of having this tool to improve the technical staffs of the teams. “For several seasons we shared videos to be as professional as possible, but this gives it a significant boost because it is about laying the foundations of what we were doing, generating that global environment within the tool itself,” he stated.

On the other hand, David del Pino Fernández, from Costa Adeje Tenerife, one of the 'newcomers' to the setup who began his role at the Tenerife club last January, could only praise the tool. “It helps us positively because it is a centralised method, used by all clubs with the same methodology, and it helps us enormously to have more defined workflows and tactical analysis specificity, having the concepts of the game more configured for the players and the technical staff so that everyone speaks the same language,” he highlighted. He also valued the platform as a new step for the growth of the competition. “These tools bring a leap in quality both to the professionals and to LigaF itself. Having this tool has been a total success because it is fundamental in our day-to-day work.”

The training session also featured Marcelo Raya, the new sporting director for DUX Logroño. Having arrived at the La Rioja side at the end of November, Marcelo expressed his satisfaction at being able to use this platform, especially for independent clubs. “We can all access the same tools. It serves to democratise information, and not just the game analysis ecosystem, but also other tools provided by the alliance between LigaF and Hudl, such as scouting, opposition analysis, or self-analysis. We are delighted with the possibility of having all these applications,” he assessed. Finally, the sporting director did not hesitate to conclude that “this platform is the cornerstone for the growth of LigaF, the players, and the competition.”
