Driven by excitement and the ambition to continue making history. This is how FC Barcelona approaches the UEFA Women's Champions League final, the sixth in their history. The *Azulgranas*, who have won the trophy on three occasions (2021, 2023, and 2024), are seeking their fourth European title. “Our intention is to win it. We are going for everything,” stated Ona Batlle ahead of the match. The *Blaugrana* side arrives at the fixture with only one defeat this season across all competitions, having already won the Supercopa de España, the Liga F Moeve title, and the Copa de la Reina. Consequently, Pere Romeu’s side will be looking for their second quadruple of titles following the one they achieved in the 2023/2024 season, precisely with Jonatan Giráldez on the bench. The Spanish coach now manages the French team, which includes the Norwegian Ingrid Engen, who also has a past with the *Culés*.

“Neither team is going to change their style of play. We know each other from before, as Giráldez was the head coach and I was his assistant. He hasn't faced me as a head coach, but tactically, he knows me inside out, and I know him too,” said Pere Romeu regarding his counterpart. FC Barcelona's path to reach this final has been practically perfect. Last year's runners-up finished in 1st place in the group stage with 16 points, following five wins and only one draw. In the quarter-finals, Pere Romeu’s side eliminated Real Madrid CF with a 12-2 aggregate score, while in the semi-finals, the *Azulgranas* overcame Bayern Munich with a 5-3 aggregate score. Laia Aleixandri, suffering from a cruciate ligament injury, is confirmed to be out, while Graham Hansen is expected to be fit for the fixture, which is also being played on her home turf.

Opposing them will be Olympique Lyonnais, who finished in 2nd place in their Champions League group with 16 points, also with five wins and one draw. In the quarter-finals, they won 4-1 on aggregate against Wolfsburg, and 4-3 against Arsenal in the semi-finals. Furthermore, the French side, having reached eleven finals, is the team that has won the most European titles, with eight trophies in their cabinet: 2011, 2012, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2022. Both teams have faced each other on six occasions, with a record of five victories for the French side and only one win for the *Azulgranas*. Three of those meetings were in Champions League finals. The French side won in Budapest 2019 and Turin 2022. For their part, FC Barcelona took the trophy in Bilbao 2024. This Saturday, the Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo will once again decide the European champion.
