Before the start of the match, a tribute was paid to former Granada player Cristina Moreno. The Volkswagen car brought the match ball to the centre circle. Twelve minutes into the game, Lauri Requena, while clearing the ball, failed to strike it hard enough, and in attempting to rectify her error, she touched Graham Hansen inside the box. Following a review by the Football Video Support, the referee awarded a penalty. The Norwegian winger herself stepped up to take the spot-kick, and she did not miss, fooling Chika Hirao to make it 0-1 on the scoreboard. The *azulgranas* continued to generate dangerous chances, and Ewa Pajor tested the waters with a shot from inside the area which the home goalkeeper managed to smother in two attempts. The Japanese keeper made eight saves throughout the encounter.

Pere Romeu's side scored the second goal just before the half-hour mark. A delivery from a Graham Hansen corner was headed in by Aïcha Camara from inside the box. The defender got ahead of the *nazarí* side's backline to double the advantage on the scoreboard. It was her first LigaF goal and also secured her the MVP award for the match. In the second half, the visitors looked to maintain the same rhythm as the first half, and Patri Guijarro, Kika Nazareth, Salma Paralluelo, and Alexia Putellas soon entered the pitch. The two-time Ballon d'Or winner connected with Ona Batlle. The full-back sent a cross into the area that Jujuba nearly turned in for an own goal. Irene Ferreras also made changes, bringing on Miku and Vera Molina to reinforce the midfield.

Once again, the *blaugrana* side came close to scoring with a cross into the box that Salma Paralluelo finished with a backheel at the far post. Chika Hirao comfortably gathered the shot from the attacker from Zaragoza. The Japanese goalkeeper also stood strong between the posts to collect a strike from Alexia Putellas in two attempts. The last major chance of the match fell again to the feet of Salma Paralluelo, but the forward's effort went straight into the hands of the home keeper, preventing the *blaugrana* victory from being larger. With the final whistle, FC Barcelona's victory was confirmed in a Nuevo Los Cármenes stadium that was dressed up to celebrate the ‘Love For The Colours’ campaign. For their part, Granada CF, who lose their unbeaten run in 2026, remain in the middle of the table with 29 points, level with FC Badalona Women.
