DUX Logroño launches the “NO TE CALLES” campaign alongside Asociación TANV to fight against child bullying
DUX Logroño has launched the 'NO TE CALLES' (DON'T BE SILENT) campaign, an initiative supporting the TANV Association (Non-Verbal Learning Disorder) with the aim of raising society's awareness of child abuse, school bullying, and all forms of violence against young people. The campaign will be highlighted during the Matchday 10 Liga F fixture, which will see the Riojan club play on Sunday, November 9th at 12 PM at Las Gaunas, broadcast live on DAZN. The presentation event took place in the Portrait Hall of Logroño City Council, with the participation of the Government of La Rioja, the Riojan Football Federation, and the City Council itself.

Fernando Martínez, General Director of DUX Logroño, was responsible for explaining the details of the campaign: “NO TE CALLES is the motto chosen to raise awareness in society against child abuse. We have an academy of over 200 footballers, both boys and girls, and this is a topic that concerns us very closely. After the minute's silence that all clubs observed last matchday in memory of Sandra Peña, the girl from Seville who tragically lost her life as a victim of school bullying, the club considered what we could do to help prevent similar cases from happening again."
"We contacted Asociación TANV (Association for people affected by Non-Verbal Learning Disorder) and proposed to them that we use the platform of such an important match, like the one DUX Logroño will play against a Champions League team such as Atlético de Madrid, to raise awareness among society and our young people about the importance of not staying silent, of speaking up about anything that happens to them at the slightest sign of intimidation, harassment, bullying, or physical or psychological violence they might experience,” Martínez stated.
To give visibility to the campaign, DUX will distribute a hope-green bracelet with the motto “NO TE CALLES” to match attendees, so that "Las Gaunas becomes a “Green Tide” of solidarity and awareness against child bullying." Players from both teams will also wear a green ribbon on their shirts in support of the cause, and the captains will wear an armband of the same colour to reinforce the campaign's purpose. DUX Logroño will also donate several team shirts and balls signed by the players for TANV to raffle among all those who contribute to the association's account number ES51 2100 2625 9013 0094 1877 and make a donation in its favour.

Gustavo Sáenz, president of the Federación Riojana de Fútbol, was also present and highlighted: “From the Federación Riojana de Fútbol, we consider it very important to always be willing to collaborate in this type of action dedicated to protecting our young people. In this case, protecting them from verbal and physical violence, from harassment and bullying. Football and sport are spaces for living together, for sharing, and for protecting. And that is what we will all stage together this Sunday: our absolute cry that we will never be silent in the face of actions that undermine the physical and emotional dignity of our young people. That the institutions present here share this objective, and that sectors like education and sport, which can do so much good working as a team, is great news. Being able to help associations like TANV is a source of pride. And that day our girls and young people from the Escuela de Fútbol Femenina will be in the stadium shouting NO TE CALLES.”
The Mayor of Logroño, Conrado Escobar, highlighted: “This is a very special sporting event because it not only involves a match, but will also promote and enhance fundamental values for the development of our children and young people to foster respect and equality through sport. It is a unique opportunity to raise awareness in our society about the importance of not remaining silent in the face of school bullying,” added Escobar, who believes that “football, especially women's football, can be the best vehicle to promote the rejection of violence in any of its forms, solidarity, and teamwork.”
