This weekend, Seville hosted the first edition of the Liga Futura Moeve Tournament, the first-ever under-12 women's tournament, organised jointly by Liga F and Moeve. “This tournament represents a great deal of excitement and future for the girls. The girls are thoroughly enjoying playing in a professionalised environment within the children's sphere of enjoyment and camaraderie, but also with that competitive spirit among the clubs in our Liga F. To experience it at these youth levels is absolutely wonderful, with television coverage that makes them feel like professionals,” explained the competition's top official about the championship. Furthermore, she quickly added that “I see a great deal of quality and talent, and that helps to showcase the future.”

“One of the main objectives of this tournament is for many girls to see others their age playing. The boys have had this for many years, the girls are starting to have it, and it's important to normalise that, and for other girls to have the opportunity to see role models of their own age playing in a different way,” explained Beatriz Álvarez about the importance of girls finally having this tournament. The president of Liga F attended, along with Pablo Vilches, the competition's CEO, at the Ciudad Deportiva José Ramón Cisneros, where the tournament was held in its entirety, to watch the matches live. Additionally, the Liga F official was responsible for presenting the medals to the girls from all the teams who came to compete in the tournament in the Andalusian city.
Beatriz Álvarez also presented the award to Gretta Suárez (Atlético de Madrid) as the goalkeeper with the fewest goals conceded in the tournament, and together with José María Solana, executive vice-president of the Moeve brand, presented the champions' trophy to the players of FC Badalona Women. “Since the creation of Liga F, this tournament was one of the objectives we wanted to promote, and thanks to Moeve we have taken that final step to be able to carry it out. This is the first edition, but it's something that is here to stay, and we are very excited to hold them every year,” she explained. Finally, she highlighted the great values the tournament instils in the girls. “They come to enjoy themselves, and they take away camaraderie, humility, effort, and teamwork,” concluded the president.
