Barça claim victory at the Jesús Navas

The Blaugrana secured their second consecutive victory at the start of the season. Pere Romeu's side came out determined to take all three points, and it only took them nine minutes to break the deadlock. Graham Hansen, who was the MVP of the match, produced a superb individual effort and delivered a pass to the far post, where Esmee Brugts simply had to tap the ball into the back of the net to open the scoring. Sevilla FC attempted to react and had a response with a good pass from Laura Pérez to Andrea Álvarez, but the striker's shot deflected off a defender and was ultimately collected by Cata Coll to avert the danger. The Blaugrana looked to extend their lead, and Irene Paredes tried her luck with a header that went just over the crossbar. Sydney Schertenleib also tried with a long-range strike, but Esther Sullastres and the post combined to deny the dangerous effort.
Just before half-time, Graham Hansen once again conjured up a brilliant individual play and delivered a pass to the far post, where Claudia Pina controlled the ball to score the second goal of the match. And, just a few minutes later, Marta Torrejón headed in a loose ball from inside the box to put the third goal of the clash on the scoreboard at the Jesús Navas and send the match into half-time. The second half followed the same script as the first, with FC Barcelona dominating and dictating the play, while David Losada's side tried to create danger on the counter-attack. However, in the 55th minute, it was Vicky López who extended her team's lead. Kerolin stole a ball inside the box, and Ewa Pajor did the same to set up the Vallecana midfielder, who made no mistake in blasting past Esther Sullastres to make it 0-4 on the scoreboard.
After half an hour of play, David Losada made three changes to the Sevillian side. Clau Blanco, Isa Álvarez and Sandra Castelló entered the field of play. Meanwhile, Pere Romeu also rotated his squad with the introduction of Patri Guijarro, Kika Nazareth and academy player Lúa Arufe. Despite the difference on the scoreboard, FC Barcelona continued to press high to keep creating dangerous chances.
