With five matchdays remaining until the end of LigaF Moeve, FC Barcelona could clinch the league title. Pere Romeu's side has the championship in their hands, and their first 'match-ball' is this Wednesday, April 22nd, at 7:00 PM away from home in the Catalan derby against RCD Espanyol. The Blaugrana outfit arrives at the fixture in magnificent form, having secured seven consecutive victories across all competitions, three of which with clean sheets, and are twenty-eight games unbeaten since their 1-0 defeat to Real Sociedad, their only loss of the season. The Culé squad has scored 112 goals, making them the highest-scoring team in the championship, while they have only conceded 6 goals, also being the team that has conceded the fewest. Furthermore, between Cata Coll and Gemma Font, they have kept nineteen clean sheets.

Laia Aleixandri, who is recovering from an ACL injury, and Patri Guijarro, who has a sprained anterior talofibular ligament in her right ankle, will miss the Catalan derby. Aitana Bonmatí, who is continuing her recovery process, is a doubt for the clash. A victory would be enough for the Blaugranas to be crowned champions for the eleventh time in their history. Additionally, FC Barcelona would achieve their seventh consecutive league title. Facing them will be a Perico side that has already achieved its season objective: remaining in LigaF Moeve. This survival has been forged by beating direct rivals. Of the Blanquiazules' seven victories this season, six have come against the four teams currently fighting to avoid relegation, against whom they have also not lost.

Furthermore, despite being the fifth-lowest scoring team this season (23), RCD Espanyol stands out for its character, competitive spirit, and for being a tenacious club in attack and solid in defence, competing against any opponent. The Pericas have seven titles in their honours list: one league championship and six Copa de la Reina titles. Sara Monforte will be without Ainoa Campo and Mar Torras. Both midfielders are suspended after receiving their fifth yellow card in the last match and join Laura Martínez on the sidelines due to injury. Júlia Guerra, Simona Botero, Anna Torrodà, and Olivia Fergusson are doubts for the clash against the Culé team. The two teams already faced each other this season with a victory for the Blaugrana side, who won 2-0 in the first-round match with goals from Alexia Putellas and Ewa Pajor.

The match will be broadcast free-to-air

Matchday 26 of LigaF Moeve will feature up to five matches broadcast free-to-air as part of the Spanish competition's commitment to boosting the growth, visibility, and dissemination of women's football beyond its borders. The Catalan derby will have even greater appeal due to the importance of the clash and because the Blaugranas could be crowned champions with a victory. The match between RCD Espanyol and FC Barcelona will be broadcast free-to-air on GolPlay and TEN, while Catalan television will also broadcast it on TV3 and 3Cat. Additionally, the game can be watched in its entirety on DAZN, which will show all the matchday games, and on Movistar+. A wider range of platforms to consume a product that continues to grow, and to experience live a match that could decide the 2025/2026 league champion.
