The second Copa de la Reina semi-final will bring a Catalan derby between FC Badalona Women and FC Barcelona. Marc Ballester's side arrive at the fixture in the mid-table of Liga F Moeve with 29 points, level with two other teams, and proving to be a difficult side to beat, who perfectly capitalise on their goals. The home team, playing in this round of the knockout competition for the first time, are making history. In the Round of 32, they overcame Osasuna (0-3), and in the Round of 16, they defeated Granada CF (1-0). This was precisely the same scoreline with which they beat Real Sociedad (0-1) in the quarter-finals, although this time, with the help of extra time. Antonia Canales, who is suffering from an ACL injury, is a confirmed absentee, while Núria Garrote, Berta Pujadas, and Cristina Cubedo are doubts for the clash against the blaugranas.
For their part, the culé squad has won the Copa de la Reina on eleven occasions (1994, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2017, 2018, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2024, and 2025) throughout their history. Pere Romeu's team remains unstoppable in Liga F Moeve, where they lead the standings with a ten-point advantage over the second-placed team, having only lost one match in twenty-one league fixtures. FC Barcelona eliminated Alavés (1-6) in the Round of 16, and Real Madrid CF (0-4) in the quarter-finals. Cata Coll and Mapi León are doubts for the semi-final clash, while Aitana Bonmatí continues her recovery process, and Laia Aleixandri will be sidelined for the remainder of the season after rupturing her anterior cruciate ligament. Both teams will be looking to secure a good result for the second leg, which will be played on Wednesday, March 18th, at 9:00 PM at the Johan Cruyff.
