When the international break concludes, LigaF Moeve will enter its decisive phase. FC Barcelona, who already have the domestic championship practically in the bag, have qualified for the next edition of the UEFA Women's Champions League. Meanwhile, five teams will battle it out over these final five matchdays to secure the other two remaining spots. The team in the strongest position is Real Madrid CF, currently 2nd in the standings with 59 points, and just one win or slip-up away from securing qualification ahead of the Tenerife side. Real Sociedad, sitting in 3rd place with 54 points, eight points clear of fourth, also have their destiny in their own hands. Lurking in the hope of a slip-up from the San Sebastián club are Costa Adeje Tenerife, with 46 points, Atlético de Madrid, with 44 points, and Granada CF, with 41 points, who have earned the right to dream after a strong second half of the season.

Real Madrid and Real Sociedad Aim to Hold Their Positions

The first ticket to the next edition of the UEFA Women's Champions League went to FC Barcelona, who are now just one victory away from being crowned LigaF Moeve champions. Real Madrid and Real Sociedad will be looking to maintain their second and third positions respectively. The team in the best position is the Madrid side, who could secure their qualification next weekend with a win. They could also achieve their objective without playing, should Costa Adeje Tenerife draw or lose their match. With an eight-point cushion over fourth place is the Basque club, who are having a great season with only three defeats. Real Sociedad's fate is in their own hands, with a fixture list that includes home games against Madrid CFF and Granada CF, and away ties against Deportivo Abanca, FC Barcelona, and Atlético de Madrid.

Three Teams Vie for a Final Push

Meanwhile, Costa Adeje Tenerife, Atlético de Madrid, and Granada CF will inject excitement into the race for European qualification during the decisive stretch of the championship. The Tenerife side continues to dream of the Champions League, and with five matchdays remaining, they sit eight points behind third place, holding the head-to-head advantage over the San Sebastián club after a 1-2 away win and a 1-1 draw at home. In fifth place is the Madrid club, with 44 points, ten points adrift of Champions League qualification. Despite the points difference, Atlético are in their best form of the season with six consecutive victories, and with the Copa de la Reina final on the horizon. Lastly, Granada CF are sixth with 41 points, thirteen points off third position, thanks to a magnificent 2026, making them the second-best team in the championship over the last eleven matchdays.
