Before the start of the match, Nahia Aparicio received a commemorative shirt for her 100 appearances defending Real Sociedad. The Perico side threatened with a long ball for Iara Lacosta, which Alazne Estensoro cleared. Meanwhile, Ainoa Campo tried her luck for the Donostia side, but the ball went straight into the hands of Meritxell Muñoz, who gathered it. Real Sociedad had possession of the ball, but the Catalan team held firm at the back, waiting to launch counter-attacks to create danger. In the 21st minute, the first goal of the match arrived. A good cut-back from Cecilia Marcos was struck by Ainoa Campo from the edge of the box, sending the ball directly into the far post to make it 1-0 on the scoreboard.

Meanwhile, the Perico side sought a response through Ona Baradad, and with a back-heel flick from Anita Marcos, but it was Natalia Escot who, on the half-hour mark, restored parity to the scoreboard. The striker won a long ball, got past her defender, and broke the deadlock with a superb shot that surprised Alazne Estensoro. Real Sociedad could have equalised with a header from Ainhoa Marín that went wide. The visiting goalkeeper also gathered a good cross into the box. Ava Seelenfreund also came close to scoring, but her shot went just wide of the post, much to the relief of the Perico defence. At the end of the first half, the scoreboard showed 1-1 after the opening forty-five minutes.

After the break, Nerea Eizagirre came on for Real Sociedad to try and regain the lead. Parity also remained throughout the second half. Laura Camino tried her luck with a shot that hit a rival defender before going out for a corner. Cecilia Marcos also came close to scoring from inside the box, but the attacker couldn't reach the ball. On the half-hour mark, more changes were made by both clubs. Paula Arana entered the field for the blue and white side, while Arola Aparicio and Maren Lezeta reinforced the Basque team. Anita Marcos tried her luck for RCD Espanyol, and Arola Aparicio pushed forward for the Donostia side in search of the longed-for goal in the match.

With twenty minutes left, Ainhoa Marín tried her luck with a long-range strike that Meritxell Muñoz gathered in two attempts, preventing any danger from her opponent. Gorka Álvarez's side pushed forward, and again, an energetic Ainhoa Marín, who was the MVP of the match, tried from inside the box, but her shot went straight into the hands of the Catalan team's goalkeeper, who dealt with the danger. Nerea Eizagirre also had a chance, with a shot that Júlia Guerra confidently blocked. The winning goal seemed destined for Ainhoa Marín's boots, but Meritxell Muñoz saved the effort, while at the other end, Browne was thwarted by the home goalkeeper, who ensured the points were shared.
