Moeve will sponsor all LALIGA and Liga F competitions for the first time in its history to highlight the sum of all as the value of a better future

Moeve, LALIGA and Liga F have signed a sponsorship agreement under which they will work together, from the 2024/2025 season to the 2027/2028 season, to convey the energy company's commitment to a better future based on values that football also champions, such as teamwork and the spirit of overcoming challenges. Thanks to this alliance, Moeve becomes the title sponsor of Liga F, also sponsoring LALIGA EA SPORTS and LALIGA HYPERMOTION. The energy company also becomes the title sponsor of LALIGA GENUINE, the official competition for players with intellectual disabilities, and a sponsor of FC FUTURES, the most important U13 tournament in the world.

The sponsorship of all competitions aligns with Moeve's corporate purpose of transforming energy and mobility to build a better future together. For Moeve, achieving this future involves promoting collaboration, diversity, and the integration of all groups, with a clear commitment to social impact. The company, with over 11 million customers and a presence in 20 countries, is transforming its business model to ensure that by 2030, more than 50% of its business will come from sustainable activities, such as green hydrogen, second-generation biofuels, or the deployment of one of the largest ultra-fast electric charging networks in Spain and Portugal.

In line with its goal of aiding the decarbonisation of the economy, an Environmental Sustainability Technical Office will be launched to offer advice and technical assistance to LALIGA and Liga F competitions and clubs on environmental sustainability matters. To this end, work will be done with clubs to promote low-emission mobility, analyse the environmental risks of their activities, and evaluate regulatory implications regarding sustainability, among other actions.

According to Maarten Wetselaar, CEO of Moeve, “we believe that LALIGA and Liga F are the best allies to help us convey our transformative purpose in the world of energy to millions of people. We want to build a better future with more sustainable energies, and this agreement allows us to communicate that achieving this requires combining efforts and respecting diversity. With these values, we are convinced that we can achieve common challenges that we face as a society, such as the energy transition."

For Javier Tebas, president of LALIGA, “This alliance with Moeve is great news for LALIGA. Every day, we work to build a better world driven by the power of our football, and we are convinced that, together with Moeve, we will go much further in our objective. This agreement represents a firm step towards the future of sport, where technology and social responsibility go hand in hand to offer an improved experience for our fans and a positive impact on society."

Beatriz Álvarez, president of Liga F, stated that, “it is a source of pride to announce the incorporation of Moeve as Liga F's title sponsor, marking a valuable milestone in our history by partnering with a major company, a benchmark in the energy sector. This strategic alliance strengthens and guarantees the growth and professionalisation of women's football in Spain and its social impact, demonstrating the confidence of major brands in the potential of our competition. With Moeve, we are already winning tomorrow's match today, because we share values and a vision for the future based on equality, sustainability, talent, and innovation, and it will become the driving force to continue building a stronger, more visible Liga as a benchmark for new generations and with greater opportunities for all people who are part of this project."

Under the agreement, Moeve will have advertising presence on digital platforms, stadiums, sports broadcasts, and social media channels of LALIGA, Liga F, and the rest of the competitions, as well as at strategic events within the football ecosystem. LALIGA is the most followed competition in the world on social media, with over 247 million followers across 16 platforms and 20 different languages; while Liga F, since its professionalisation in 2022, has positioned itself among the top three leagues in the world, experiencing a 125% growth in stadium attendance, doubling the average television audience per match compared to the previous season, and surpassing 6 million viewers for the first time in the history of women's football.

Furthermore, Liga F is the fastest-growing competition globally on its social media profiles, with a 172% increase in followers compared to the previous season, and registering 60 million reach, 30 million views of its own content, 4 million interactions, and 145 million impressions. The Moeve brand will be visible on LED hoardings and stadium perimeter boards during match broadcasts, as well as in television advertisements for over 1,000 matches per season. The sponsorship agreement also includes tickets, collaborations with male and female players and teams, as well as merchandising, and experiences for the energy company's employees, customers, and partners.

LALIGA FC FUTURES and LALIGA GENUINE: First milestones of the alliance

In June, Moeve will already be present in the LALIGA GENUINE competitions, developed by LALIGA through its Foundation, which consists of a competition for people with intellectual disabilities, and in LALIGA FC Futures, the most relevant international U-13 competition, which has produced players such as Andrés Iniesta and Fernando Torres. The final phase of the 2024-25 LALIGA GENUINE season will take place in Bilbao on May 31st and June 1st, while the FC FUTURES tournament will be held in Villareal from June 6th to 8th and will feature professional clubs and training academies, to promote diversity in sport and ensure that new generations have the same opportunities to grow, compete, and excel in football. Presence in these competitions reinforces Moeve's commitment to integration and the development of talent in the sport of the future.
