Before kick-off, the players from both clubs observed a minute's silence following the tragic accident in Urda (Toledo). FC Barcelona started the match intent on claiming all three points right from the whistle. Graham Hansen tried her luck with a cross-shot, but it was Kerolin Nicoli who broke the deadlock after latching onto a pass from Aitana Bonmatí and beating Txell Font with a brilliant piece of skill. The goalkeeper did manage to block a shot from Martina Fernández inside the box. Rosalía Domínguez also tried her luck from distance. At the other end, Elena Julve posed a threat, but Marta Torrejón snuffed out the danger with ease. The hosts showed sparks in isolated attacks, though they struggled to find a way to equalise.
Pere Romeu’s side dominated possession, and Carla Julià looked dangerous, although she failed to break down a well-organised opposition defence. In the 35th minute, Clara Serrajordi had a chance with a shot from inside the box, but Txell Font showed lightning-fast reflexes to tip the ball round the post with a crucial save from close range. The hosts tried their luck from a set-piece, but Marta Torrejón cleared the danger without any trouble. Graham threatened just before half-time, but the scoreline remained unchanged at the Estadi de Palamós, and FC Barcelona went in at the break leading 1-0. Right at the start of the second half, Irina Uribe had a golden opportunity to level the score, but her shot struck the crossbar.

Graham responded with an effort, but Txell Font safely gathered the ball. Patri Guijarro came off the bench, and Elena Julve had a shot safely gathered in two attempts by Cata Coll. At the other end, Rosalía Domínguez unleashed a powerful strike that crashed against the crossbar, much to the relief of the Catalan side, whose task was made harder when Lucía Martínez was shown a straight red card for a challenge on Carla Julià. The referee had no hesitation in pointing to the spot. Graham made no mistake from twelve yards out to double the lead, even though Txell Font guessed the right way. Pere Romeu's team continued to press in attack, and Kerolin Nicoli scored the third just a few minutes later.
After Mayssa Baha hit the crossbar, Kerolin Nicoli reacted quickest to turn the rebound into the back of the net and make it 0-3 in Palamós. The Brazilian was named Player of the Match after bagging a brace. Graham tried her luck with a cross-shot straight into the hands of the home goalkeeper. Kerolin Nicoli came close to a hat-trick with a shot that flashed just past the post, and Izarne Sarasola made her return to the pitch for the home side after recovering from an ACL injury. Claudia Pina, who had just come on as a substitute, wrapped up a 0-4 victory in Palamós. Esmee Brugts could have added a fifth, but her shot sailed over the bar. Lucía Carmona made her debut for FC Badalona Women, and Kerolin threatened again. Marta Torrejón hit the post and Txell Font pulled off further saves to prevent an even heavier defeat.
