A perfect start that only FC Barcelona has achieved this season. The Madrid side currently occupy 2nd position with 9 points, having scored 7 goals and conceded just 2, making them the second-highest scoring team and the second-least conceded.

Furthermore, Sánchez Vera's team, who he joined midway through last season, have achieved their best ever start to a LigaF Moeve season. “That speaks volumes about my players' effort and their defensive commitment. The players have responded from day one, with the identity we wanted,” continued the coach, who, despite the positive momentum, expects his team to keep improving as the matchdays progress. “Defensively we are solid, but there are situations where perhaps we expose ourselves too much. On the other hand, offensively, we also need to try and have more possession in the opposition half,” he highlighted. In the transfer market, Madrid CFF has made twelve signings, and against the Andalusian club, seven of those new signings were in the starting lineup. 

Ana González, the thermometer of Madrid CFF

Among those new signings is Ana González (Seville, 26 March 1995). The midfielder, who previously spent two seasons with the Madrid team and left her mark, returned home this summer to bring leadership to the midfield and experience to the dressing room. “Ana manages what happens on the pitch, and what happens off it. We have many attacking players who need that freedom, that ball, and to have that, you need the defensive work from the other players. We consider ourselves a very compact team.
