Both sides met at the Ipurua stadium in search of all three points. Deportivo Abanca started with more possession, although the first chance fell to Carmen Álvarez, whose acrobatic effort was cleared by the visiting defence. Meanwhile, Millene Cabral also tried her luck for the visitors, though the striker was equally out of luck. It was a tightly contested affair until the 23rd minute, when Samara Ortiz unleashed a shot from inside the box. The ball crashed against the woodwork, and the rebound fell to Ángeles del Álamo, who headed it into the back of the net. However, the referee ultimately ruled the goal out for offside.

Deportivo Abanca survived thanks to the referee's decision and went in search of the game's opening goal. Lucía Pardo met a fine cross from Vega Montesinos with a header from inside the area, but her effort went wide. Anna Wellmann punched the ball clear to defuse the danger from the Galician side. Just as it looked like the first half would end level, right before the break, a ball was won back and fell to Millene Cabral. The Brazilian forward chipped the ball over the Eibar goalkeeper and straight into the back of the net with a stunning goal, making it 0-1 at Ipurua and putting the Galician side ahead in the match.

Right at the start of the second half, Carla Andrés managed to level the score, but the goal was disallowed for a handball by the centre-back. Everything was still to play for, with both teams searching for more goals. Nerea Sánchez and Thirsa de Meester came on for the hosts, whilst Marisa García was soon introduced for the Galician side. The match remained wide open at Ipurua. Deportivo Abanca came close to scoring through Lucía Pardo, but it was Marisa García who played a one-two with her teammate to beat Anna Wellmann and send the ball straight into the back of the net, extending her side's lead. Just three minutes later, the visitors added a third.

The two players swapped roles, and this time it was Lucía Pardo, the Player of the Match, who made it 0-3 by beating the Eibar goalkeeper. Despite the scoreline, Eibar didn't give up and fought to get back into the game. Between the crossbar and a great save from Inês Pereira, a goal was denied, but Carmen Álvarez eventually turned home an Emma Moreno cross to pull one back for the Basque side. The final 2-3 scoreline came courtesy of Carla Andrés, who finished off a delivery following a wide free-kick. The hosts kept pushing until the end, but it was Deportivo Abanca who secured the three points to claim their second win of the season against a Basque side that fought right to the final whistle.
