A name and crest change, but maintaining its identity. This is how Logroño United approaches the 2026/2027 season of Liga F Moeve. The Vitoria-based team will kick off the new league campaign with a new crest inspired by the city's history. A new identity that reflects the past, but also the future of the Riojan side, which last season, upon their return to the top flight, secured survival in the elite by finishing in 14th position with 21 points, seven clear of the relegation places. For this reason, the club has decided to bet on the continuity of the project with up to fifteen renewals and a total of eight signings to elevate the team's quality and continue establishing themselves in Primera División.
Eight signings to strengthen the team
In goal, Olatz Santana has arrived. The 29-year-old goalkeeper joins from Athletic Club, where last season she played 263 minutes in 3 league matches, delivering strong performances between the posts. With past experience at Real Sociedad too, the shot-stopper will bring her experience. For the defensive line, the Riojan club has signed Alena Pěčková, a Czech international footballer who can play as both a centre-back and a full-back. At 25 years old, she arrives from Sparta Prague and knows Spanish football from her previous spell at SD Eibar. The Dutch defender Nicole Stoop, 24, also reinforces the centre of defence, arriving from Hera United in the Netherlands, and will bring physical presence at the back. The defence is rounded out by the young Italian Valentina Donolato, who at 20 years old comes from AC Milan and can play both in the heart of defence and in midfield.

Meanwhile, four players have arrived to bolster the attacking third. María Barquero, 23, can play in all attacking positions, and comes from scoring 1 goal in 346 minutes across 22 matches for Granada CF. Olufolasade Adamolekun 'Sade' is American and Jamaican, representing the latter internationally, and operates as an attacking midfielder and forward. At 25 years old, she arrives from Heart of Midlothian, with whom she was crowned champion in Scotland. The Riojan side also incorporates national talent with the signing of Cristina Redondo, 20. The young forward arrives from Atlético de Madrid, and last season played on loan at Parma. Ana Franco, 27, completes the attacking front for the club. Last season, she scored a total of 2 goals in 1,791 league minutes across 25 appearances.
Fifteen renewals to maintain the core
Alongside the new additions, Logroño United has retained the core of last season's squad, with fifteen players who secured survival in the top flight, and who will continue to defend the Riojan team's colours in Primera División this new season. Goalkeeper María Miralles remains between the posts, defenders Annelie Leitner, Comfort Yeboah, Marta Masferrer, Rebeca Costa and Andrea Colomina continue at the back, midfielders Justina Morcillo, Ximena Velazco, Catalina Ongaro, Margarita Giménez, Daiana Falfán and Laura Martínez will drive the team's play, and forwards Flavine Mawete, Isina Corte and Mia Asenjo will provide the goals. This represents the club's commitment to the continuity of the project in pursuit of another successful survival campaign.
