Laura Camino and Carmen Álvarez secure Eibar's survival

The home side and the visitors from Murcia took to the Ipurua stadium pitch with the aim of securing all three points in a direct relegation battle. Iñaki Goikoetxea's team started better, and twenty minutes into the game, Carmen Álvarez threaded a pass to Emma Moreno. The forward delivered a cross into the box that struck the hand of Yannel Correa. The referee was decisive and awarded a penalty. Laura Camino stepped up to take the spot-kick, deceiving Sol to bring the home team closer to safety. Alhama CF ElPozo attempted to react with a pass in behind the defence for 'Yiyi', but the visiting player was unlucky and sent the ball over the crossbar, much to the relief of Eunate Astralaga, who watched the ball sail high. Randri García's side pushed for an equaliser, but the home defence remained impenetrable, repelling the rival attacks.

After the interval, the team from Murcia continued their efforts. Mari Jose flicked on a ball inside the area, and Belén Martínez tried to capitalise, but the striker's shot went wide. Iñaki Goikoetxea's players looked to seal the win, and Amaia Iribarren came close with a long-range effort that went well off target. Raquel Pinel replaced Ana Velázquez for the visiting team, while Iara Lacosta came on for Emma Moreno on the Eibar side. In the 67th minute, Laura Camino, who was the MVP of the match, capped off her strong performance with a cross into the box for Carmen Álvarez to fire into the back of the net, making it 2-0. Following the home goal, Randri García threw on two attacking players, Marta Gestera and Mariana Díaz, in a desperate search for a goal.

Despite the scoreline, the Murcia outfit tried to reduce the deficit. Belén Martínez went for goal with a header at the far post from a corner kick. Eunate Astralaga produced a marvellous save to deny the striker's header and push the ball out for another corner. Time was running out for the visitors, and once again, the home goalkeeper was the protagonist with another great intervention to deny Raquel Pinel, who had tried a volley. Furthermore, a long-range shot from Vega deflected slightly off Mari Jose, forcing Eunate Astralaga into another good save. The final chance fell to Alhama CF ElPozo, but the SD Eibar goalkeeper caught Raquel Pinel's header to confirm the mathematical safety of the home team, who will play their fourth consecutive season in the top flight. Meanwhile, the Murcia side could be relegated tomorrow if DUX Logroño earns a point in their match.
