The Torneo Liga Futura Moeve was unforgettable for the 143 girls who attended in Seville, among them Julia Escudero, who will always remember it for the experiences shared with her teammates, and for being the only footballer to have scored a hat-trick in a match. Athletic Club and DUX Logroño kicked off the tournament. The Bilbao side eventually prevailed 6-0 against the Riojan team with a brace from Malen Eskibel, a goal from Naia Gordoa, and a hat-trick from Julia Escudero in just three minutes to go straight into the history books of Liga Futura. The first of those three goals was a shot following a cross from a teammate, the second was a strike directly into the top corner, and the midfielder capitalised on a rebound from the goalkeeper to score the third.
Three goals, two with her left foot and one with her right, sealed her team's triumph, securing their first victory in the group stage. On the second matchday, Athletic Club drew against RCD Espanyol (1-1), and on the third matchday, the Bilbao side earned a point against Real Sociedad (2-2). The Lionesses' dream was dashed in the quarter-finals when they fell to Atlético de Madrid (0-1), the tournament's runner-up. Despite not reaching the final, the experience was incredible for the girls, especially for Julia Escudero, who received a ball signed by all her teammates and the coaching staff members, including Eli Ibarra, a true Athletic Club legend with over 400 matches wearing the Basque club's shirt. A memory for life.
