Costa Adeje Tenerife has secured goals for next season with the renewal of Carlota Suárez (Vigo, 19 July 1997). The Galician forward arrived at the Tenerife-based club last summer after being a true 'globetrotter' in the world of football. The attacker began her career at CF Pozuelo de Alarcón. In 2016, she moved to the United States to balance her kinesiology degree with football, playing for Tyler Apaches and Sam Houston Bearkats. She later returned to Spain to play for Real Oviedo, Deportivo Abanca, and Granada CF. Her most recent adventure abroad was with INAC Kobe Leonessa in the Japanese league, where she became the competition's top scorer, catching the eye of the Canary Island club. This season, injuries have prevented her from finding consistency, but she has still delivered a high level of performance.
The forward had to face two injuries throughout the season at Costa Adeje Tenerife. The first was a hip labrum tear, which led to surgery in December 2025, keeping her sidelined for four months. Once she had returned and found the back of the net again, an ankle injury forced her to bid farewell to the pitch prematurely. Despite the injuries, Carlota Suárez has scored 7 goals and provided 2 assists in 976 minutes across 17 matches in Liga F Moeve, twelve as a starter and five as a substitute. Furthermore, the attacker has become the second-highest scorer in the division, with a goal every 139 minutes. “She has become a key figure. She has contributed a lot to us, and I am sure that next season will be just as good or even better,” stated Jordi Torres.
In addition, the Tenerife team's sporting director also declared that “the numbers speak for themselves; we have great confidence that she will be a decisive player, just as she has been this year.” For her part, Carlota Suárez expressed her pride in defending the Costa Adeje Tenerife shirt for another year. “I am very happy. I haven't been able to enjoy this season to the fullest, but I am sure the next one will be much better,” highlighted the forward, who is eager to take on the upcoming campaign with the Canary Island side. Furthermore, the Galician striker also praised the great work the team has done throughout the season, assuring that “we hope to maintain our level, stay high in the standings, and, above all, continue to bring joy to our fans.” A forward with a great desire to keep scoring goals at the Heliodoro.
