Beatriz Álvarez accompanied Mundo Deportivo at its V Gala del Fútbol Femenino Europeo

The 5th edition of the European Women's Football Gala, organised by Mundo Deportivo at the Antigua Fábrica Damm in Barcelona, brought together some of the biggest stars of continental women's football and featured the notable presence of LigaF President, Beatriz Álvarez, alongside representatives from several clubs in the Spanish professional women's competition, such as FC Barcelona, RCD Espanyol, Badalona Women, and Atlético de Madrid.

Santi Nolla, director of the Catalan newspaper, hosted this landmark event, which once again became a great celebration of talent, effort, and self-improvement, recognising not only the sporting achievements of the footballers but also their values. There was also institutional representation with the presence of José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes, president of the Consejo Superior de Deportes, and Berni Álvarez, Conseller d’Esports of the Generalitat de Catalunya.

During the event, the season's achievements and the momentum of women's football across Europe were recognised in the different categories: the MVP Trophy went to Ewa Pajor for her 43 goals in her first year at FC Barcelona; the European Top Scorer Trophy went to Claudia Pina, with 12 goals between the Champions League and the European Championship; the Rising Star Trophy was awarded to Chiara Beccari, 20 years old and champion in Italy; the Sports Values Trophy went to Irene López for her fight for mental health; the Mundo Deportivo Special Trophy honoured Laia Aleixandri, currently considered one of the best defenders in the world; the Legend Trophy recognised Kelly Smith for her brilliant career; the Talent Trophy went to Fiamma Benítez, a 21-year-old footballer from Atlético de Madrid; and the Breakthrough Trophy was awarded to Clara Serrajordi for her great emergence this season, at 17 years old, both at FC Barcelona and with the Spanish national team.

The presence of Liga F clubs underlined the collective strength of the competition and its role as a model for the professionalisation and visibility of women's sport. Lola Romero, director of women's football at Atlético de Madrid, Josep Bellet, president of Badalona Women, Xavier Puig, director of women's football at FC Barcelona, Elena Fort, vice-president of the *azulgrana* club, and Carolina Miranda, sporting director of RCD Espanyol femenino, were among the personalities who did not want to miss this event, which consolidates women's football as a stronger, more competitive, and sustainable sport.
