Riazor stadium hosted a great relegation battle, which the Galician side won after having to come from behind. After twenty minutes, a long-range strike from Natalia Peñalvo grazed the home goalkeeper but she couldn't prevent the midfielder's goal for the visitors. Everything changed in the 37th minute with the sending off of Rosa Otermín for a second yellow card. Athletic capitalised, and a cross from Ane Elexpuru was headed in by Nerea Nevado at the far post to level the contest. Right at the start of the second half, Luany, who had come on at the break, slipped a pass through to Fiamma Benítez. The Denia native, who was the match MVP, beat Nanclares low to put the visitors ahead. The home side pushed in the final stages but could not find a goal.

Lakrar scored an own goal while trying to clear the ball, making it the definitive 0-3. Pere Romeu's team tried to score more goals, but the home side, with a great Misa, managed to prevent further goals from the visitors.
