Before kick-off, Athletic Club paid tribute to Naroa Uriarte and Olatz Santana, who will be leaving the team at the end of the season. The visitors started with a high press, while Patri Zugasti looked to create danger for the Bilbao side. However, seven minutes into the game, a cross from Nerea Benito from the flank was headed into the back of the net by Daniela Agote to score the opening goal of the match. The 'Rojiblancas' looked for a second through Jone Amezaga, but the forward could not find the target. Clara Pinedo also tried her luck from a free-kick, but the ball went straight into the hands of Elena de Toro, who held onto it. Patricia Zugasti also threatened with a powerful header, which the Murcian side's goalkeeper caught without any real trouble. At the other end, Vega tried her luck with a shot that went wide.

Mari Jose also created danger, but her shot was safely blocked by Maddi Torre at the back. Athletic continued to play their game, and Jone Amezaga looked for a goal of her own with a strike that was deflected by the Alhama CF ElPozo defence for a corner. Before the break, Randri García's side tried to change the scoreline, but without success, and the Bilbao team went into the interval with the lead. After the restart, Ane Campos came on for the Basque side, while Judith Caravaca and Ana Velázquez did the same for the visitors. The first chance of the second half fell to Elene Gurtubay, who attempted a shot from outside the box, but it sailed over the bar. Ane Campos, who came close to stealing the ball from Elena de Toro, scored the second after capitalising on a through ball from Clara Pinedo, who spotted her teammate unmarked.
Following the goal, Estefa and Mariana Díaz came on for the visitors, but just three minutes later, Bibiane Schulze found Jone Amezaga inside the box. The forward made no mistake to score the third and join her team's celebrations. Lezama was in full party mode, and Ane Campos, who was named MVP of the match, finished off a low cross from Azkona to make it 4-0 and put the game out of reach. The striker came close to completing her hat-trick, but the Murcian defence blocked her shot. With six minutes remaining, a delivery into the box was headed by Kuki. The ball fell loose inside the area, and Mariana Díaz pounced to beat Adriana Nanclares and score Alhama CF ElPozo's final goal in the top flight. Nerea Nevado and Maite Zubieta were also given a send-off by their teammates at the final whistle.
