The Murcian team started with an attacking lineup, and the first chance of the match fell to Mari Jose, whose powerful header sailed over the crossbar. Meanwhile, Yiyi and Belén Martínez also looked to create danger in attack, but it was Ari Arias who, twenty minutes in, latched onto a perfect delivery from María Gabaldón to power a header past Elena de Toro and open the scoring. It was 0-1 to the Granota side, who took the lead. The visitors continued to test their luck with a long-range effort from Alma Velasco, who looked to catch the goalkeeper off guard. Andrés París' side had a chance to double their lead through Ana Franco, though she was unable to convert.
The forward found herself one-on-one inside the box, but her shot lacked precision and went over the bar.
