The match report

Before the match kicked off, the players from both teams observed a minute's silence for the tragic accident in Urda (Toledo). The first chance of the game fell to Lucía Moral 'WIFI', but she was out of luck. At the other end, Ángeles del Álamo forced a corner with a shot that crashed against the opposition defence. Sara Martín also unleashed a powerful volley that flew over the crossbar, to the relief of the opposition defence. Rebecca Elloh almost broke away from her defenders with pace, and Sara Tamarit looked for teammates with a cross into the heart of the box that Anna Wellmann comfortably gathered. The match was incredibly even, and Ángeles del Álamo tried again with a long-range shot.

Both teams pushed forward, but neither could find the breakthrough. Another long ball played in behind the Eibar defence was gathered by Anna Wellmann to avert the danger. At the other end, Emma Moreno went for goal, but her shot was blocked by the opposition defence. The last actions of the first half were a shot from María Carvajal that went over, and a dangerous cross into the box from Pauleta Sancho that the Eibar goalkeeper claimed. With the score 0-0, the match went into the half-time break. After the interval, Iñaki Goikoetxea made two changes to alter the rhythm of the match. Adela Rico and Carmen Álvarez entered the pitch at Puchades.

Indeed, just as the second half began, the forward found Sara Martín, who unleashed a magnificent shot to send the ball into the back of the net and break the deadlock, surprising the Valencia goalkeeper. The response came in the 55th minute. A cross from Pauleta Sancho was headed in by Yasmin Mrabet to beat Anna Wellmann and level the contest at Puchades. The goal spurred on the Valencia club, who came alive. Nazareth Martín came close to scoring with a shot that was blocked by the opposition defence. In the same play, the referee sent off Gema Climent for an off-the-ball aggression on Carla Andrés. Valencia were reduced to ten players. Débora García entered the pitch to try and secure a point.

Just one minute later, another free-kick cross from Pauleta was again headed in by Yasmin Mrabet, who was the MVP of the match, capitalising on Anna Wellmann's hesitation to make it 2-1 and complete the comeback. Lena Pérez tried her luck with a long-range shot, and Sara Martín created danger for the Eibar team. The home side held firm at the back against the onslaughts of the Basque team, who were pushing for an equaliser. Mireia Masegur had a clear chance to score, and Lena Pérez cleared Sara Martín's shot off the line. Academy player Rebeca Granell made her debut for the Valencia team, and Alice Pinguet produced a great save to deny Thirsa de Meester. In the same play, the referee awarded a penalty against Yasmin for a foul on Carmen Álvarez, which the forward sent against the post, to the relief of the home side.
