The youth academies of FC Barcelona and Real Madrid shone at the U-20 World Cup
Five footballers from FC Barcelona: Noa Jiménez, Julia Torres, Aïcha Cámara, Carla Julià and Rosalía Domínguez, who was a Ballon d'Or winner, and five from Real Madrid CF: Laia López, Golden Glove winner, Silvia Cristóbal, Noemí Bejarano, Irune Dorado and Pau Comendador, who was a Golden Boot winner, lifted the U20 World Cup.

The Spain U20 national team became world champions after a perfect tournament, achieving a full sweep of victories, with a final triumph against North Korea by 0(4)-0(3) in the penalty shootout. A championship that exemplified the magnificent work carried out by Liga F Moeve clubs with their academies. Atlético de Madrid, Athletic Club, Deportivo Abanca, Real Sociedad, Deportivo Alavés, Real Madrid CF and FC Barcelona were represented. Specifically, the 'madridistas' and 'azulgranas', who face each other this weekend, were the clubs that contributed the most players, with five each. Noa Jiménez, Julia Torres, Aïcha Cámara, Carla Julià and Rosalía Domínguez represented the 'culé' side, and Laia López, Silvia Cristóbal, Noemí Bejarano, Irune Dorado and Pau Comendador did the same for the Madrid team.

Defenders Noemí Bejarano and Silvia Cristóbal accumulated 116 and 450 minutes last season in the Real Madrid first team, while midfielder Irune Dorado carved out her place in midfield with 1,139 minutes and providing 1 assist.
