The Liga Futura Moeve Tournament kicks off with Matchday 1
Following the conclusion of the first matchday of the Torneo Liga Futura Moeve, Athletic Club and RCD Espanyol lead Group A. Meanwhile, FC Barcelona and Levante UD do the same in Group B, while FC Badalona Women and Madrid CFF are the top two teams in Group C.

Both teams kicked off the Liga Futura Moeve Tournament. Athletic Club came out hungry, pressing high and creating danger from the start. Victoria García remained imperial to deny the Basque side's advances, but the third time was the charm for the Bilbao team, and Malen Eskibel eventually opened the scoring. The 'Leonas' went for a second with a great strike from June Aras inside the area, which Victoria García saved. The midfielder did, however, find Malen Eskibel on the counter-attack. The striker made no mistake in netting her brace and doubling her team's lead on the scoreboard.

In the second half, Athletic Club continued to create danger, and just as the second forty-five minutes began, Naia Gordoa extended the red-and-whites' lead with a great shot that was impossible for Alba Molina to stop. The Riojan goalkeeper had previously made a good save from a shot inside the area. The 'Leonas' showed their goalscoring efficiency again through Paule Elguezabal. The Basque side's forward produced a magnificent strike directly into the top corner to score her brace. The striker still had another goal in her to complete her hat-trick after capitalising on a mistake by the goalkeeper. The post denied the Bilbao side another goal, as they triumphed in the tournament's opening match.

The match was evenly contested in the opening moments between the 'Perico' side and the Donostia team. The first chance of the clash was a header from the back post that Ariadna Valladares saved with a great stop to send the ball out for a corner. Mila Mesplie also tried her luck with a powerful shot that the Donostia goalkeeper caught to snuff out the danger. Imanol Moyano's side kept searching for the goal, but Ariadna Valladares remained imperial to contain the rival attacks. Before the break, Ivet Codina tried her luck with a strike from outside the area that the Donostia goalkeeper saved. The midfielder eventually broke the deadlock thanks to a set-piece routine.

Just as the second forty-five minutes began, goalscorer Ivet Codina again looked for a second with a strike from outside the area that the Donostia goalkeeper caught with little trouble. Real Sociedad looked to counter-attack, but the 'Perico' defence stood firm to maintain their lead on the scoreboard. Maddi Rojas looked for the goal with a long-range shot, but the 'Perico' goalkeeper again gathered the ball to easily avert the danger. The post denied Naia Díaz de Olarte, who tried a thunderous strike from outside the area that hit the woodwork directly. The Donostia side pushed in the final stages but failed to equalise.

Friday 12 June 10:30 Costa Adeje Tenerife 0 - FC Barcelona 2
The first opportunity of the match fell to the Tenerife side, with Dafne through on goal, but the midfielder was unable to beat the 'Culé' goalkeeper. For their part, FC Barcelona were clinical. Berta Listán played a pass into the area, which Valentina García sent into the back of the net to open the scoring for her team. The 'Azulgranas' kept pushing with a delivery to the back post that Aiana Fillat was close to latching onto. Furthermore, the 'Blaugrana' side came close to a second, but the crossbar denied them on two occasions. Costa Adeje Tenerife held firm at the back, hoping to steal the ball quickly to create dangerous counter-attacks. The 'Culés' insisted again with a long-range shot that went over, and they finally found the reward of the definitive 0-2 with a goal from Ivet Castellví right at the death to seal the match for the 'Blaugrana' club, who took all three points on the first matchday.

Levante UD and Sevilla FC closed out Group B with a very even contest in the opening stages. The Sevilla side tried their luck through Nora Muñoz in the attacking line. For their part, the 'Granota' side looked lively through Sofía Fernández, but without managing to score. The Sevilla FC coach rotated the bench, bringing on Elisa Baena and Martina Azpilicueta to gain more presence up front, but it was the Levante club that had a great chance which the Andalusian defence eventually cleared for a corner. The last action of the first half was a direct free-kick that a secure Nara Almeda caught without problems to keep it 0-0 at the end of the first forty-five minutes.

The second half started with a great chance for Levante UD from a set-piece, but the Sevilla goalkeeper gathered the ball easily to prevent the danger. After constant pressure, five minutes into the second half, a shot from Suha Pérez was enough to beat the Sevilla goalkeeper and open the scoring. The pace of the game increased again. The 'Granotas' maintained their attacking intensity, while Lidia Ortiz sought the equaliser for the Sevilla side.

Friday 12 June 12:00 Atlético de Madrid 0 - FC Badalona Women 1
The first matchday of Group C opened with the duel between the red-and-white side and the Catalan team. Both teams had several incursions into the area. Atlético de Madrid tried their luck through Zaida Escudero, but the forward was unlucky. For their part, FC Badalona Women looked lively through Amalia Garewel, but without finding teammates inside the area. The Catalan team's goalkeeper, Leia Jurado, also caught a good shot from the Madrid side, who insisted but could not find the breakthrough. The last chance of the first half fell to the side managed by María Lázaro, but the Madrid team lacked precision in front of goal, and the clash went into the break level.

After the restart, FC Badalona Women took only a minute to open the scoring. A good cut-back from Jana Vílchez was met by Elisabeth Torres from the penalty spot to break the deadlock and beat the red-and-white goalkeeper, who could do nothing to stop the shot. Atlético de Madrid managed to equalise with a goal from Ainhoa Iona, but the referee eventually disallowed the goal for offside against the Madrid team's midfielder. The 'Colchoneras' kept pushing up front, but the Catalan team's goalkeeper remained impenetrable to keep a clean sheet and secure the three points for her team, who triumphed in the first clash of the tournament.

The morning concluded with the final Group C duel, the match between Deportivo Abanca and Madrid CFF. The Galician side looked lively in the opening minutes, seeking the speed of Isabela Maroño, although the clearest chance fell to Vera Feijoo. The defender tried her luck with a strike from outside the area, but the ball went narrowly past the post. For their part, Madrid CFF tried their luck through Julia Muñoz. It was an evenly matched affair at the Sevilla side's training ground with both teams looking for the goal, but lacking precision in the final third. Just before the break, Elana Rose broke the deadlock for the Madrid side with a great strike to score the first goal of the match.

In the second half, Madrid CFF continued to push for a second, but the Galician defence cut out the Madrid side's advances. For their part, Deportivo Abanca looked for Iris Ríos, who created a lot of danger across the rival's attacking front. The crossbar again saved what would have been a second goal for the Galician side, who failed to beat the Madrid goalkeeper, who was very firm under the sticks and saved a potential goal to give her team options in the final stages of the match. The Madrid side had their opportunities in the final stretch, but without managing to change the result, which remained 0-1 for the 'Deportivistas', who started the tournament on the right foot.
