Tuesday 17 March 20:00h (Peninsular time) Costa Adeje Tenerife - Atlético de Madrid
A ticket is up for grabs for the Copa de la Reina final. The first leg was won by the Rojiblanco side in Alcalá, who secured a 1-0 victory thanks to Gio Queiroz's goal. Costa Adeje Tenerife will be looking to overturn the deficit at the Heliodoro in front of their home crowd. The Tenerife team comes into this tie after a 4-0 win against Levante UD in the last Liga F Moeve matchday, where they currently sit in 4th position with 39 points, eight points behind third place. In the knockout competition, the Canarian side overcame Sevilla FC (1-2) in the round of 16, and Madrid CFF (0-1) in the quarter-finals, to reach the semi-finals for the first time in their history. María Estella, Pisco, Aithiara Carballo, and Paola Hernández will be the four absentees for this fixture due to injury. Yerai Martín has a record of five wins, three draws, and only two defeats as coach of the blue and white team.
For their part, Atlético de Madrid are aiming to make their first-leg advantage count. The Rojiblancas, who are in 6th position in Liga F Moeve with 35 points, come into this match after a 5-0 victory over DUX Logroño in their last game. Carmen Menayo was unavailable for that clash, as was Silvia Lloris, who is suffering from an ACL injury. The match will be a special occasion for José Herrera. The Tenerife-born coach, returning to a club where he spent three seasons, has achieved four wins, two draws, and three defeats as coach of the Madrid team. Indeed, the Colchonero side, who defeated Alhama CF ElPozo on penalties (1(4)-1(5)) in the round of 16, and Athletic Club (4-1) in the quarter-finals, already have two Copa de la Reina titles in their trophy cabinet (2016 and 2023). This will be the third time these two teams have faced each other this season.
