A tribute in all stadiums
The starting players from both teams will walk onto the pitch together, wearing a special shirt with the number 9 and the slogan "Always in our memory". Alongside the referees, they will form a semicircle, embracing each other around the spot on the pitch where the incident occurred last Monday. There, the captains, who will come out last, will lay a floral tribute in his memory. Following this, a minute's silence will be observed, during which the stadium video screens and displays will show an image of Jesús de Miguel, followed by applause from players and fans.
The remembrance will continue once the match is underway. At the first stoppage from the 9th minute, in reference to his shirt number, the referee will stop the match and the video screens will project a video in tribute to the player. After applause from the players from their positions, play will resume.
The minute's silence will also extend to all national competitions organised by the RFEF and LigaF that are played during these days, so that the tribute reaches all levels of Spanish football.
Furthermore, on Saturday 7th November, at 18:00 (Canary Islands time; 19:00 in mainland Spain), CD Tenerife will hold a solemn tribute in memory of the player at the Estadio Heliodoro Rodríguez López, open to all its fans. The event can be followed live via the LALIGA HYPERMOTION channel and LALIGA's official YouTube channel, as well as on the RFEF channels.
This initiative, communicated to clubs, male and female players, aims to be a recognition and heartfelt tribute from this sport in all stadiums, as the best way to honour the memory of the deceased player.
Understanding and respecting the different sensitivities expressed during these moments of grief, the intention is that the entire professional football family can remember the player with the respect, dignity, and recognition he deserves.
The RFEF, LALIGA, and LigaF reiterate their sincerest condolences to the family and loved ones of Jesús de Miguel, to his teammates, and to the entire CD Tenerife family, accompanying them during these difficult moments.
Postponement of LALIGA HYPERMOTION and LigaF Moeve matches
Furthermore, three LALIGA HYPERMOTION matchday fixtures have been postponed: CD Castellón – SD Eibar, Granada CF – CD Tenerife, and FC Andorra – RCD Mallorca. For its part, LigaF Moeve will postpone the match between Costa Adeje Tenerife and Deportivo Alavés. The new dates will be announced shortly.
