The Allianz Arena hosted the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals. Pere Romeu's side quickly took control of the match, and in the eighth minute, Patri Guijarro threaded a ball through for Esmee Brugts arriving down the wing. The Dutch full-back delivered a pass into the heart of the box, which Ewa Pajor struck first-time to open the scoring. The Polish forward sought a second, but the German defence was very alert to cut out the ball. Meanwhile, Bayern gained confidence with a cross from Klara Bühl which the Barça defence cleared for a corner. The hosts, who appealed for a possible penalty for handball by Irene Paredes, grew in confidence, looking for long balls for Harder's runs. José Barcala's side tested Cata Coll, who was very alert to catch a shot from Kett from the edge of the box. Giulia Gwinn also created danger, and, once again, Cata Coll safely dealt with a free-kick delivery.
However, the clearest chance fell to Kett, who unleashed a powerful strike from the edge of the area that Cata Coll tipped behind for a corner, saving her team with a magnificent intervention and preserving the Barça lead at the end of the first forty-five minutes. After the break, Bayern came out pressing high, and the first chance of the second half was a powerful shot from Amani that went well wide. The reply was a shot from Brugts that crashed directly off the woodwork. Pere Romeu's side continued to press through Alexia Putellas in midfield, and with a free-kick delivery from Mapi León that the home defence cleared emphatically. Brugts was also close to scoring, heading wide a cross from Graham from the other flank. The visitors were circling for a goal, and Mahmutovic had to react again to catch a header from Ewa Pajor from the penalty spot.

Barça's persistence almost paid off with a header from Patri Guijarro that Gilles cleared off the line. Pere Romeu brought on Clara Serrajordi to maintain intensity in midfield, and in attack, Claudia Pina tried with a header over the bar. In the 70th minute, the hosts scored on the counter-attack. Harder surged forward with the ball and played a pass back for Kett to equalise. After the goal, Salma and Kika entered the pitch in search of a reaction, and Kett was sent off with ten minutes remaining for pulling Salma's hair. With an extra player, Barça grew in confidence with a header from Patri Guijarro from a corner, and, in the next action, Mahmutovic prevented a wonder goal from Mapi León.
