Atlético de Madrid thrashed SD Eibar 4-0 with goals from Gio Garbellini, who scored a brace to be named MVP of the match, Boe Risa, from the penalty spot, and Júlia Bartel. Despite the Rojiblancas' victory, José Herrera's side wave goodbye to their chances of competing in next season's Champions League.

Before kick-off, Amaiur Sarriegi was presented with the Liga F Moeve Player of the Month award for March. The first chance of the match fell to the visitors. Carmen Álvarez cut inside and unleashed a powerful strike that sailed over the crossbar. The response came from Andrea Medina, who attempted a cross-cum-shot that went high. Laura Camino also tried her luck, but the ball went straight into the hands of Lola Gallardo. José Herrera’s side were pinning the Eibar team back, and just before the half-hour mark, the hosts created a clear-cut opportunity. Jensen played a cut-back for the arriving Fiamma, whose powerful shot was kept out by a miraculous save from Eunate Astralaga. Both players were involved again a few minutes later, but once more, the visiting goalkeeper got the better of the midfielder from Denia, who was unable to find the net.

The visitors looked to surprise from a set-piece, but Carla Andrés’ header went wide. Priscila Chinchilla tried to add more bite to the final stages of the first half, but Eunate Astralaga gathered the ball safely. The hosts pushed before the break, but the best chance fell to the Eibar side. Laura Camino delivered a ball to the penalty spot for Carmen Álvarez, who fired a shot, only to be denied by a formidable reaction from Lola Gallardo, whose great intervention kept the scores level. After the interval, and with no changes to either starting XI, Atlético de Madrid threatened with a free-kick delivery that Eunate Astralaga caught confidently. In the 55th minute, Luany and Gio Garbellini entered the fray to try and change the tempo of the match. It took just five minutes for Gio, who was named MVP of the match, to break the deadlock.
A cross from Boe Risa was met by Jensen at the back post. The Norwegian’s effort was initially saved by Astralaga and then hit the post, but the rebound fell to Gio, who made no mistake. José Herrera turned to his bench again, bringing on Júlia Bartel, and in the 67th minute, Laura Camino conceded a penalty for a foul on Luany, which Boe Risa converted to extend the lead and put daylight between the two sides. The third goal was almost scored by Jensen, who unleashed a powerful left-footed strike towards the far post, but Carla Andrés stayed alert to deny the Norwegian. The third goal eventually came from Júlia Bartel. The midfielder, despite losing her footing, produced a magnificent strike that found the top corner. The visiting goalkeeper got a touch to the ball but could not prevent the goal. The 4-0 was scored by Gio Garbellini following a misplaced pass from Carla Andrés in defence, sealing the home victory.
