The ‘Amor Por Los Colores’ jersey, symbol of Liga F's campaign

The national competition has launched its ‘Love For The Colours’ campaign once again, to mark International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia in Sport, which will be celebrated on February 19th. For this occasion, Liga F has introduced a new symbol of identity, alongside the rainbow laces, and has presented a jersey created by designer Be Fernández as an emblem of inclusion, respect, and diversity.

This shirt is an exclusive piece created by Madrid-based illustrator, muralist, and painter Be Fernández, combining the colours of the rainbow flag with the figures of two women alongside a football and a football boot, representing the unity, diversity, and collective strength that drives women's football. The design, created for the International Day Against LGBTIQ+ in Sport, which will be celebrated next Wednesday, 19 February, succeeds in conveying a clear message of love and respect, rejecting all forms of hatred and promoting sport as a safe space, free from prejudice and discrimination.

Furthermore, this initiative adds to the distribution of thousands of rainbow flag shoelaces that will take place at all Liga F matches during Matchday 20 (14 and 15 February) and Matchday 21 (21 and 22 February). Players, referees, coaches, media, and fans will participate in an initiative promoted by Liga F, which seeks to reaffirm its commitment to visibility, equality, and the rejection of violence and discrimination faced by LGBTIQ+ individuals.

This campaign will primarily take place in two highly visible venues, which will serve as the main platforms for the action. The Ciudad Deportiva de Lezama will open its doors next Sunday, 15 February, at 12:00h to host the Basque derby between Athletic Club and Real Sociedad, while the Nuevo Los Cármenes stadium will host Granada CF as they welcome FC Barcelona on Saturday, 21 February, at 18:15h.

The fight against homophobia remains one of the greatest challenges in the world of sport, and for this reason, Liga F, with the creation of the ‘Amor Por Los Colores’ shirt, aims to create a message of unity and present women's football as a tool that drives social commitment and the transformation of society through inclusion.
