Stalemate in the first leg of the final for promotion to LigaF Moeve

Villarreal CF and Valencia CF drew (0-0) on Saturday, May 23rd at 18:00h at the Ciudad Deportiva José Manuel Llaneza in the first leg of the LigaF Moeve promotion playoff final. Both teams will contest the return leg next weekend in search of promotion to the top flight.

Following the promotion of Deportivo Alavés (2nd in the standings with 56 points) to Liga F Moeve, the two teams from the Valencian Community played the first leg of the promotion playoff to Liga F Moeve on Saturday, May 23rd at 18:00h at the Ciudad Deportiva José Manuel Llaneza. Villarreal CF and Valencia CF drew (0-0) in a stalemate between both sides. The second leg will be played on Saturday, May 30th at 18:00h at the Antonio Puchades, as the Che finished in a better position in the regular league. Precisely, the black and white side also has an advantage because in case of a draw, the match will go to extra time, but not penalties, as the Valencian team will be promoted. Therefore, the groguet club is obliged to score to go up.

A goalless draw at the Mini Estadi in the first leg of the Liga F Moeve promotion playoff final. Before the start of play, Irene Miguélez received a commemorative shirt for her 100 appearances as a groguet. Furthermore, Lucía Gómez, who announced her retirement, received her well-deserved tribute at home. After the first few minutes of play, the home side began to dominate possession, although the first chance of the match fell to Valencia CF. A cross from the wing by Marina Martí was almost met by Mascarell inside the box. Around the half-hour mark, Sara Medina tried her luck from distance with a shot that hit the crossbar. The response came from Marina Martí, but the forward was also unlucky in front of the opposing goal.
