After securing promotion to Liga F Moeve, Deportivo Alavés continues to shape its squad for the 2026/2027 season. Following the signings of Juliette Vidal (Bayer Leverkusen), Kim Shinji (AS Roma), Yorladiz Díaz (CP Cacereño), Andrea Gómez (Granada CF), and Amaya García (Real Madrid CF B), the 'babazorro' side has announced the arrival of Somea Polozen. The 23-year-old goalkeeper arrives in Vitoria from FC Nordsjælland in Denmark, where she gained experience at the highest level, including appearances in the UEFA Women's Champions League. The goalkeeper is noted for her imposing stature and agility between the sticks, qualities that provide her with excellent reflexes and a sense of security during set-piece situations.
Furthermore, the Bosnia and Herzegovina international is also recognised for her footwork and her ability to play short passes to her teammates. While she also possesses a powerful long ball, capable of breaking lines and providing depth to her team's play from the back, she will compete for the starting spot with Sofía Fuente. The U17 World Champion has renewed her contract with the 'babazorro' side after being an undisputed starter last season in their push for promotion to the top flight. The Madrid-born goalkeeper kept 13 clean sheets—the most in Primera RFEF—having conceded only thirteen goals in twenty-three league matchdays, ensuring that Deportivo Alavés finished as the team with the fewest goals conceded (14).
