Having qualified for the Copa de la Reina final, Atlético de Madrid came into the match eager to secure all three points. Two minutes into the game, Gio Queiroz attempted a shot that went narrowly wide of the post, much to the relief of the home defence. Following a corner, Júlia Bartel came close to scoring, but the visiting midfielder's centre-shot sailed over the crossbar. The clearest chance fell to Amaiur Sarriegi. The forward found herself one-on-one with the home goalkeeper, who produced a magnificent save to deny her the goal. In the 25th minute, Júlia Bartel had to be substituted due to injury. Boe Risa came on in her place. Alhama CF ElPozo pushed for a goal with a shot from Belén Martínez that was cleared by the Madrid defence for a corner. The home side contained the attacks from the Madrid team.
Once again, Amaiur came close to scoring, but Judith Caravaca was imperious to cut out the attack. The forward tried again with a first-time shot that went wide. At the other end, Patri Larqué showed sharp reflexes to prevent a goal from Mari Jose from the edge of the box, who almost surprised her with a long-range effort. The last chance of the first half was a header from Medina that went wide. In the second half, Randri García brought on Aitana Zumárraga for the injured Alba Santamaría. The first chance of the second forty-five minutes was a shot from Fiamma that the Murcia defence cleared. Alhama CF ElPozo also had their opportunity with a shot from Belén Martínez that Patri Larqué gathered at the second attempt. Andrea Medina responded with a left-footed strike that went over the crossbar.
The match was end-to-end, and Patri Larqué prevented a goal from Belén Martínez with a superb save. Around the half-hour mark, José Herrera made a triple substitution, bringing on Jensen, Maca Portales, and Rosa Otermín. The visitors pushed forward, and Gio Queiroz tried her luck with a shot that went high. In the 72nd minute, the referee awarded a penalty for a foul by Lauren Leal on Vega. Estefa stepped up to take the spot-kick and made no mistake to break the deadlock. Sheila Guijarro came onto the pitch, but it was Fiamma who capitalised on a pass from Rosa Otermín to level the score. It looked like the match was heading for a draw, but in the final play of the game, Maca Portales delivered a cross that Rosa Otermín, who was the MVP of the duel, sent into the back of the net to spark jubilation among the Atlético faithful.
