The txuri-urdin side were seeking revenge after their Copa de la Reina elimination at the hands of the Catalan side. Arturo Ruiz's team quickly took control of possession and looked to Lucía Pardo in attack. After ten minutes, a ball into the box almost caused problems for María Valenzuela, but it was Claire Lavogez who broke the deadlock. A cross from Intza on the wing was met by the midfielder from inside the area. Her first shot was saved by the visiting goalkeeper, who couldn't hold onto the French player's second effort. The Basque side, who wore black armbands for Lucía Rodríguez's grandmother, continued to create danger. At the other end, Julia Arrula was very alert to cut out a long ball aimed at Irina Uribe's run. Both teams tried before half-time, but the score remained unchanged.

After the restart, Marc Ballester made substitutions, bringing on Lice Chamorro to give his team more attacking threat. In the second half, the pattern remained the same as in the first forty-five minutes, with Arturo Ruiz's side dominating the match. The Donostia side were encouraged by a ball to the far post for Aiara Agirrezabala's run, but the full-back, who was the MVP of the match, couldn't get to the ball at the far post. Both coaches made changes. Arola Aparicio came on for the Basque side, while Sarah Jankovska also got minutes for the Catalan side. The visitors sought an equaliser through Elena Julve, but the attacker couldn't get past a solid txuri-urdin defence, which remained impregnable at the back.

With fifteen minutes remaining, a delivery from Andreia Jacinto's corner was met by Lucía Pardo inside the area, but the former Madrid CFF player's effort went over the crossbar to the relief of María Valenzuela, who watched the ball go wide. FC Badalona Women tried in the final stages of the match. Loreta Kullashi could have scored with a shot that Claudia Florentino crucially blocked. With the visitors pushing for an equaliser, Nerea Eizagirre capitalised on a pass from Lucía Rodríguez and produced a superb individual effort to make it 2-0 on the scoreboard, sealing the victory for her team, who maintain an eight-point lead over their rival for the spots that grant access to the next edition of the Champions.
