A new adventure in the UEFA Women's Champions League awaits Real Madrid CF, the only team to have successfully negotiated the qualifying rounds in every edition since the group stage was introduced in the 2021/2022 season. Pau Quesada's side overcame Ajax in the preliminary rounds after winning 0-2 in the away leg and 2-1 in the return fixture. The home coach will be without the injured Sara Holmgaard, Sandie Toletti and Filippa Angeldahl, as well as academy youngsters Laia López, Noemí Bejarano, Silvia Cristóbal, Irune Dorado and Pau Comendador, who are currently away representing Spain at the U20 Women's World Cup. Real Madrid sit 2nd in the Liga F Moeve standings on 10 points after picking up three wins and just a single draw.

The French outfit edged past Eintracht Frankfurt in the preliminary round, drawing 1-1 in the first leg before securing a 5-1 victory in the return match, albeit requiring extra time. In the Première Ligue, Paulo César's team occupy 2nd place in the table with 9 points, level with Olympique Lyonnais, yet they are yet to concede a single goal at the start of the league campaign. Seville-born Olga Carmona, currently sidelined with an injury, is the sole Spanish player in the French squad. The left-back will make her return to her former stomping ground, where she spent five seasons. Naomie Feller, who spent four campaigns with Real Madrid CF, is also set for a special match. Meanwhile, Rasheedat Ajibade returns to the capital, having previously played for Atlético de Madrid. 

Real Madrid CF's clash against PSG, corresponding to the opening matchday of the Champions League group stage, will be played on Tuesday 22 September at 21:00 CEST at the Di Stéfano. The match will be broadcast live on Disney+ and 3Cat.
