Before the match kicked off, an emotional minute of silence was held in memory of Vicente Paniagua, former Real Madrid basketball player. The first chance of the game came from a shot by Sara Däbritz inside the box, which Alazne Estensoro gathered in two attempts to prevent a dangerous play. Once again, the German midfielder tried her luck with a cross into the area that Nahia Aparicio touched, preventing the ball from reaching the far post dangerously. For their part, the San Sebastián side tried to find Mirari Uria, controlling possession through Andreia Jacinto and Paula Fernández. The match was evenly balanced, and the score remained 0-0 at the end of the first forty-five minutes. After the break, Arturo Ruiz brought on Intza to generate more danger in the final third.

Real Madrid CF started the second half better, with a low cross from Athenea for Alba Redondo. The forward from La Mancha put the ball into the back of the net, but the referee disallowed the goal for offside. The visitors continued to press, and Arturo Ruiz moved her substitutes again, bringing on Arola Aparicio and Claire Lavogez, but the Madridistas were a real cyclone. In the 68th minute, the match changed. A delivery from the corner was headed by Sara Holmgaard from inside the area, and Paula Fernández cleared the goal off the line with her hand. The referee awarded a penalty and sent off the Real Sociedad midfielder. Sandie Toletti took the penalty kick. The French player, who was the MVP of the match, did not miss from the spot to break the deadlock.
Just six minutes later, Caroline Weir delivered a ball into the box from the corner, and Sara Holmgaard anticipated the home defence to score the second goal of the match with a powerful header. With six minutes remaining, Eva Navarro sent a cross into the area that struck Intza’s hand. The referee awarded a penalty, and the Murcian winger herself took the spot-kick to seal the definitive 0-3 scoreline and close out the match. Arturo Ruiz took the opportunity to give LigaF debut to academy player Iraia Soroa. With the final whistle, the victory for Real Madrid CF was confirmed; they maintain their positive momentum and remain in 2nd position with 53 points, while Real Sociedad sits in 3rd place with 47 points, eight ahead of the fourth-placed team.
