“Pericos, I am very happy to be back. See you soon at the Dani Jarque Sports City”, were the first words of Paula Gutiérrez (Barcelona, March 2, 2001) as the new RCD Espanyol player. The midfielder, who trained at La21 for three seasons, returns to what was her home. The Catalan becomes the third signing for the blue and white team ahead of the 2026/2027 Liga F Moeve season, following the confirmed arrivals of Iara Lacosta (SD Eibar) and Ana Velázquez (Alhama CF ElPozo). The 25-year-old footballer played for Madrid CFF before joining Deportivo Abanca, where she spent five seasons in the top flight, achieving promotion to the highest category and establishing herself in the midfield of the Galician team.
In her last two seasons in the top flight, she has played all 30 league matches. Her statistics show 6 goals and 5 assists in her last two seasons. Last year, she played 2,303 minutes, being the third most used player on the pitch for her team, scoring 4 goals and providing 4 assists.
